in london forum, i saw few engnrz from may/early june 14 cases getting visa.
yet its case to case.

though i m 1123, but was also falling in 4011 though didnt apply. so my all support for u.

I also applied to FSWP 2014 under NOC 4011 on 9 June 2014. My visa office is LVO just like you guys and I haven't heard anything since receiving PER on 7 Oct. What makes me wonder is that a few LVO applicants from the month of June (such as pickabull, NOC 2281, 6/11/2014; yienyanz, NOC 0121, 6/11/2014) who applied later than me and much later than maha shahzad have already received MR. I know that the complexity of each case varies but I'm yet to see a single 4011 LVO applicant who has reported receiving MR.

It's understandable that LVO would certainly be having different teams for handling different NOCs (who would be specialists in dealing with that particular NOC). It would therefore be unreasonable to think that a FIFO scheme would be operating regardless of NOC and so it isn't a wonder if pickabull and yienyanz have already received MR. But within a certain NOC, there must be FIFO, I mean it can't be random so that people who apply much later get their visas first.

I've also seen that 4011 LVO applicants are a minority in this forum, so it'll be difficult for us to see how this NOC moves forward in the future given that a certain percentage of people don't update their statuses. So guys please keep updating your status as we're already few in number.

Yeah, I was doing a bit research on to which field should I opt for? based on budget, it seems MS may help me at least to get Canadian degree and later on in life I may decide for MBA.

Do I need to do any other exam like (IELTS/ TOFEL/ GRE/ GMAT) to get admission for MS? Or it can be waived? Any thoughts?

Hi.... You would be happy to know that except for admits to management programs, most ask do not ask for more than TOEFL/IELTS. Unlike US varsities where GRE is mandatory for any masters (Except management programs mots of which accept GMAT), very few masters programs ask for a GRE.

But more than which test you should take, I think you should finalize your choice of program first. Try to look for programs where you can build on your existing qualifications and experience and then look for qualifications in that area. Then Google universities in Canada and start visiting the websites of universities you fancy. Each university will have a different requirement. Some may ask for a GRE others may not. Some may ask for a 'writing sample' and others may ask for statement of research intent. All of them will definitely ask for 2-3 letters of reference out of which at least one should be from a faculty where you last studied.

If you study the admission process of universities in USA and Canada you will find that even though standardized test scores are important, they are never the over riding variable of decision making. Most universities will try to evaluate a match or a 'fit' between your profile, what you want to do and the program you have selected.

I would recommend you begin by visiting university websites and studying program specific admission requirements.

P.S. I would take the GMAT/GRE or maybe both before I land in Canada as once there one might not be able to prepare as much and as well. You may already know that these scores have a five year validity. TOEFL & IELTS are valid for two years only but they hardly need any preparation. So whatever unfolds in Canada, I will have these scores under my belt. I have already taken TOEFL and GMAT is up on Jan 3. Planning to take the GRE soon afterwards.

I have to give new passport request. Can I change the surname and in place of her fathers name can I add my name?

Its not automatically renewed.. By producing the marriage certificate,it can be changed.

in pak, NADRA database is directly linked to immigration n passports.
in other countries, more or less, its same.
of course, marriage cert required. not producing it will RESULT in no passport issuance, neither with dad nam NOR with husband name..
BUT 'automatic' REFERS to that..

I called to CIC Call Center..

They have given my
UCI Number which starts with 9239-XXXX
Status: In-Process
Application Picked Date : 06-NOV-2014

When I am calling before 2 days, Call Center Agents are not telling me status.

They haven't deducted CC as well.

Yea. No form required. The receipt itself has printed on it that this receipt needs to be sent (to the VO).
I sent only the receipt.
