I am done with my MR on 7th November but no ECAS update since them. But most of them reported an update in less than 10 days.

I was done with medical on 8th November - the 3rd line got updated yesterday.

Be patient it will happen it depends how much time your doctor takes to send documents to NDVO.

We have old passports and new passports.
Alongwith our application, do we have to furnish copies of only new passports or copies of old passports are also necessary.
CIC guidelines say - valid passports.

Seniors pls advise

You need to send VALID passports...... Since old passports are not valid , so obviously ONLY NEW passports or you can say CURRENT passports

Dear All,

CIIP is conducted in few cities in India .. on specified dates.

They do ONLINE Sessions (via 'Blackboard collaborate' Apps) for outstation candidates.

It is rather beneficial to do - 'My Action Plan' (MAP) session (abt 1.5 hrs- Day 2) (skype- for outstation)

Was the session good. I need your advise as I have to spend quite an amount to attend the classes due to the flight costs etc.- U DON'T NEED TO TRAVEL !

experts one quick question...
as many of us got the mail regarding an invitation to attend CIIP session organized by CIC
In that mail 2nd paragraph which says ' usually at the stage where you have been requested to undergo your medical examinations, and security and background checks have been initiated'
so my question is what does mean by background checks? is it PCC request they asked during the time of MR and RPRF?
What exactly it means?

I am not an expert but according to me it means they will (if they think necessary) verify your employment details etc. They may call your employer to confirm etc etc.

@Hardik - Congrats for 3rd line...And, Regarding ur last point, I called the Medical Center on 18th Nov and they confirmed that they had already sent the docs to NDVO.

I think WAIT is all @sriramkb & I can do

but don't they finish that step regarding inquiring to employer before Medical Request?
I guess they send medical request only after background checks like employment etc..

Pls let me know. As per my bank my DD is encashed on 11 Nov. I am 21 July applicant. At this stage in case my file got rejected after DD encash . Will CIC inform me by mail. Or simply they will return my file.??

And what could be reason for delay in my PER........???
