Does anybody experience Background check by local VO?

How do they do background check - Phone call or E mail?

Is it game over for 2173 aug 13th applicants? .. no news since past 8 days .. Did same thing happen with 2174 after cap limit reached? what I mean is there was no charging for 7 - 10days for 2174 immediately after cap reached and later it started again .. if this is the case then 2173 aug applicants can still hope if not game over

Seniors Please advise.

1) My boss is reluctant to give reference letters for my current job role and responsibilities. Can I submit an affidavit stating my duties and responsibilities? Will an affidavit suffice for duties and responsibilities? I will also attached my joining letter and bondafide letter proving than I am an employee of this company.

They will not accept it. Try to persuade your boss or get ref. letter from your previous employers.

Hi Seniors !

Wanted advice. In the reference letter which is submitted as part of my application, my immediate superior has signed. This reference letter is the one on which my NOC is claimed.

I am wondering, during background check, will visa office be contacting company HR, or will they contact my superior.

If visa office contacts my HR, it is possible they have no idea of this reference letter.

Should I then keep my HR informed of this probable inquiry ? (which I do not want, as it can affect my current growth prospects..)

I am confused..

Please help..

Will not be an issue even if HR is contacted. The senior has given the letter on plain paper and not lertterhead. So HR will not have issues. Also if you have done nothing wrong, HR will give good review. So nothing to worry.

Another thing to note is that HR will not come to know that CIC / VO is doing the check as third party vendors do the check for them.

So, after an unnecessary, completely asinine delay, my application reached again today, EXACTLY 5 months after my first one. What an unwelcome feeling of deja-vu..... Back in the queue.... the wait is on. Didn't think my next SS update would be a replica of the first.

I have another tactical question. If I receive my application kit back by end of Nov and I rectify and send the app back to them within 1 week of Dec 2014, with an assumption the CAP is not capped as it is not so hot, will they consider processing the application received in December 2014 or they will simply disregard the application saying re-apply in Express Entry.

Yes. I am one of the unlucky applicants whose app was returned by CIC because of an oversight by them.

They, however, accepted their mistake and asked me to resend my application which I did. Yesterday, everything got sorted and my CC got charged followed by the PER mail.

Well for me they issued it with passport #, although they took all other details from Iqama.

It seems that u have no got it ATTESTED by MOFA, which is a requirement for PCC for immigration purpose. For this reason they thought that u need it for local purposes. Obtain another letter from Canadian embassy (or ur embassy), go to MOFA building get it attested and then go to Deerah. Tell them u need it for immigration purpose. The right most or the 2nd guy from the right (when u facing them) should deal u. They first 2-3 guys from left are for PCC for local purpose.

For me they were kind enough not to puncture "my face". U may politely request him not to injure u once again.

Also make sure that they enter ur name as per passport as usually iqama will have ur father's name as part of ur name, if they are not willing to do it, go to their senior. He sits in the main building in the center room behind the "open mosque" in central court yard. His designation is "Captain" but i forgot his name.

Whats written in the "purpose field" it should be "Immigration" in arabic which is called hijra "هجرة"

After that get it translated.

NOTE: Check everything before finger printing as after that they make corrections with fluid, which may not be acceptable to CIC/VO

Now I have a problem though. I read up on this forum somewhere that you can get a template letter (pre-stamped and signed) from the door of the Canadian Embassy. I went ahead and got it. Now this letter has only space for Passport Number / Name / Passport Country in it. I went ahead to the Deera ( Adalla-al-Jana'iya ) station in Riyadh.

There however they have only printed my Iqama Number (had to correct it as they put the wrong one) on the hard print-out form you mention. How would CIC relate that to my passport. Also the policeman there was nice enough to put staples all over my face in the attached picture.

I then emailed LVO and they say that I have to wait for the letter they are sending to obtain the police certificate. Aaaaaaaah all the confusion

My question now. ... do we need to send to CIC anything other than the hard printed police certificate with fingerprints ???

Ok so your application was rejected in completness check, means some document was missing or was not as per the requirements. You should gather new documents as per the checklist (read and follow it word by word). Request for additional copy of IELTS TRF. (For backup). Feel free to take as much help you need from the forum in preparing your new application.

But do check with post offices for your retuned application as it has the actual reason of rejection which is very important.
