Just go the Medical Request and Police Certificates request from London Visa office. I've a small issue here... my son's passport will expire after 7 months from now. Is that a big deal? Should I renew it now or will it be OK for further processing and hopefully visa stamping.

The thing is that I have no clue how long will it take till they ask for passports...

My app was received on 31st July for the NOC 0911. I paid via money order and called the ScotiaBank on last Friday asking for the confirmation of encashement. They asked me to send an e-mail with the copy of the money order so I did it. No response from them so far.
Considering that the encashement will take place in Nova Scotia and the branch that issued the money order is located in vancouver, will they be able to inform wheter it went thru?
Should I expect it to be already encashed due to the time frame ?

Can I apply for "2173- Software engineers and designers" category now?

Gill Saab, it is not advisable to apply for 2173 at all now. Check CIC site and it is already capped. Start gearing up for Express Entry 2015. Good luck!

I'd like to know how much time LVO is taking to send MR after receiving PER for candidates based in the UK!

Update your passport as soon as possible still you have enough time to meet the deadline....updating passport will take few days...
