Should be OK, my BC also didn't read (last name/surname), got PER/MR on the same ground,
all is required is the name and english language.

Urgent help needed...
In my English BC it doesnt show family name(surname) anywhere?
it shows
My name: xxxx (only first name no surname)
DOB:
Father's name: only his name and grandfather's name (no surname)
Mother's name: only her name

My file was returned last week; one of the reason was BC. now i got the new one in English which has above description. will it be OK? the birth certificate need to have surname?
now shall i put self affidavit declaring my surname along with BC?

Just want to let you know that i got CC charge. Have been waiting anxiously. Now on to the PER wait.By God's Grace this is happening for real. Noc 2172. Application received on 8th August.

App reached date: Aug 13.
NOC: 2281.

CIC knows very well that, not every company keeps the designation same as per NOC requirement.

All it matters is the roles/responsibilities/profile should match with the NOC intented.

Dear seniors,

I am applying for 2172 in Dec, and was able to retrieve a reference letter from my company giving my title as Business intelligence engineer, so what should I fill the 5669 form where it asks about the occupation? Should I fill Business intelligence engineer or Database analysts and data administrators as per CIC NOC Names?

Very good point rasied by Caza.

Indian banks have put limit on International Transactions as per RBI guide lines.

Even I faced the same problem as my CC has limit in lacs but for international transaction it was nil.

I contacted my bank customer service and requested to increase my international transaction limit up to Rs 80,000 a day.

within 2 days it was done. Luckily after around 1 month CIC charged my CC.

but it is really important to know your international transaction limit if your mode of payment is CC.

I am an 2173 applicant and it arrived August 6. No word yet if I have been charged because I did not use CC and I noticed some August applicants using CC have already been charged.

The D Day in my life has finally arrived today, got the message for CC Charged today. Happy sunday really!

Thanks to each and every one of you all for keeping up the high spirits and helping me thru.

Really grateful.

A question that now is revolving in my head is that is there anything still which can stop me in getting the PER mail? Would be really grateful for your responses.

And, not to mention, updating the spreadsheet rite away as I post this message.
