I am a 20th Aug applicant, NOC 2173.
As 2173 is capped, shall I go ahead and close all my FD's, so that I can use this money for some other purposes...

I have sent my application already under 4011 category. but in my experience letter the responsiblities included are only 4 out of 9 given on website under my category. Is there any specification that how much responsiblities one should complete to be eligible in a category.

SYed, there is no definite answer , i myself sent them an enquiry and got a reply within a week.

but it differs from person to person who is checking their enquiries.

CIO is still working on July applications. So please just hang in there and you will hear good news soon. No fear of Capping of 2133 yet

Hi, what your payment mode ? CC/DD ?
I guess your NOC is not 2173, hence it is little diff from the guy asking question.

However best of luck to you for Express entry in 2015

My payment mode was CC, but I think it does not matter when CIC returns ur app. I got in in 10 days from dispatched. Thanks for ur wishes. By the way I have re-sent my application which is goin to reach by monday.

The radiologist at Lilavati Hosp gave me the x-ray and suggest me to show it to my personal doc and get him to prescibe me medicines. I later went to my own doctor and he prescribed me a week's medicines. Planning to then get an x-ray done with my personal doc before going to Lilavati for an x-ray again.

Anyone else on here who has faced a similar issue?

Don't abuse the x-ray.

Very true .... whenever possible, one must avoid exposure to x-rays or any kind of radiation for that matter.

Dear experts,

I have one doubt. If someone has degree in Mechanical engineering and work experience (total) in Software industry, can eligible for applying under categories like 2173, 2172, 2171, etc.?

Could someone through some light on this as i am preparing for EE 2015.

The answer to your first ques is "Yes u can apply under these categories provided u have a valid experience letter from ur employer clearing stating ur roles and duties that sync with the NOC which u wana aplly for." Also ur Btech degree needs to be evaluated either WES or any other agency.

But since these NOC are very hot and almost will be exhausted by the time u apply...I suggest u go for EE...u can google it...m sure u"ll get sufficient material for understanding.

My file was received on June 24 and I have not heard back from them.....

My NOC is 1112. Really worried now....I have tried calling them but no luck...emailed them and no updates...

I have seen on this forum that those who have filed after me have got their PER mail....Just wondering what could be the reason for this delay....

If you guys have not noticed, 2173 is also capped

1112 Financial and investment analysts 1,000
2173 Software engineers and designers 1,000
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers 1,000

Next in line are

2171 Information systems analysts and consultants 553
2132 Mechanical engineers 532
3012 Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses 469


NOTE: CIC has not updated the totals, only NOC cap

So in Nutshell we don't know how CIO is updating CAPS.
Seniors so can we say that once application is charged , one is counted in NOC cap count ?

Mine is 2132 NOC and application received on 24/9/2014 ,so bit worried about CAP looking at software guys.

Thats why i have mentioned specifically in my post to contact ur postman, bcoz I got my app next day after receiving by postman. Sometimes ur application may be stuck in post office and thats y it takes lot of time to get back.
