Actually, I don't mind cold up to -15 C if it's not dark, rainy, windy and gloomy all the time.

Beyond that, I can take it for a month every year may be. Good thing is that Toronto doesn't have as rainy and dark winter. Plus Toronto also has much nicer summer!

Who said Toronto doesn't have as rainy and dark winter ?? Have you every heard of Messy mix that's snow + rain + wind. Worst thing than snow. In typical Winter its total dark around 4pm max to max 4:30.

People are setting new records with every post! Previous post said -45 C. Now you're saying -50 C. OMG.

Hope no one says, it was -55 last winter when they went out to shop!

Made a mistake by making payment through DD. CC apps are moving way faster..

10 days here and there will not cause any harm. Have patience. DD is safer. You have taken the right decision.

That sounds like London winter!

On the one hand I am hearing from many that Canada is a better country to live than UK, on the other hand I keep hearing horror stories of extreme weather and people struggling to find a job!

I can understand the anxiety of the late-July/Aug applicants, if I were from a different NOC I'd also be wondering what the heck is CIC doing with their charging process. Those who have been charged, including me, are just reporting to the forum as others have done. I've seen quite a few posts saying these entries look fake. Come on, the SS is just a click away!!! A quick look at the SS would show almost all of the entries who reported charge yesterday and today are quite old.

Again, I'd like to wish that CIC reverts to their normal process and handle the Q per FIFO. I do not want to be unduly favoured due to this decision by CIC, I can/have been wait patiently for my turn, as and when it comes.
