Photocopies to be certified only if document is not in english or french. Rrest all document need not be certified.

I'am planning to apply under NOC 2171, can you please help me with the below queries.

1) What all documents do i need to submit for my spouse, considering i'am the principle applicant

Take a look at the Checklist in the application pack - it says which are required for whom.

2) I do not have job responsibility letter of my first organisation, please suggest what should i do ? Can anything can be shown in place of that ? Please note that i would be applying for NOC 2171 based on the current organization.

You might ask a colleague to testify to your duties, and include also a copy of your contract and payslips.

3) What all forms have changed from last time ?

No big changes so far but keep an eye on the dates of the forms in the online "application pack" as they do change, IMM0008 was last changed March 2014 and there could yet be further changes to forms this month.

4) My wife has not given IELTS, is it madatory for her to give ?

No, but it may help you get more points. If they don't like one of your jobs they might give you less points, so having some spare is good even if you reach the 67 without your wifes IELTS.

5) CIC website states that it has 50 profession and 25k applications which makes it 500 applications per profession. Whereas it is stated as 1000 applications per profession. Not sure how the maths is done...can anyone help me ?

If 25 professions filled up completely, and nobody applied to the other 25, the programme would then be closed because there would be 25,000 applications. In reality some popular professions will completely close as they will reach the 1000 cap, but some will not and would only close if 25,000 is reached or when 2015 arrives.
If you look at FSWP2013, there was a 5,000 cap and it has not quite been reached yet: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
but certainly the two most popular NOCs were full within a month.

6) How Hot is NOC2171, i.e how soon is it likely to get filled.

If 2174 is anything to go by, very quickly, but in truth you'll only know in the first few weeks when you find out how many others are applying. The spreadsheet is very handy for predicting this.

7) Do we need to submit the PCC with the application ? or sometime later ??

No need to submit with the application, but it is recommended as it can speed things up. If it isn't ready in time then you can send PCCs to the VO when you get PER.

Don't worry. First u get ur PER and File# from local VO, send e-mail to the address given with new family member addition, they will give all details, follow it.

On the otherhand, send e-Mail to CIO enquiry e-mail id, if ur application received date is b4 8weeks.
With ur full name, DOB, PP number, NOC code and when they received, u ll get reply after 20days. They will mention UCI# if ur application is returned & reason.
If u didn't get PER even after 12weeks most probably ur application is returned. U ll receive ur returned Appl at ur home exactly 80 to 110days from dispatch date, if u r from India.

Yes you have to mention the UIC number in the current application, which you received in the FSW 2013 returned Package

i am also applying this year under manufacturing manager category.

i have one query regarding the fee payment. If we use the credit card, there is a system called OTP in India, but in the fee payment form there is no mention of otp but only the cvv.

please put some light on exactly how we can use the credit card, and do we need the otp at all ?

Two queries:

My Birth Certificate is in Spanish as I was born in a Spanish speaking country. Now I have not got it translated because in Pune I think it is very hard to find a Spanish to English translator. So I am leaving my birth certificate as is. What do you think is that ok? I hope it really doesn't make much of a difference because my passport, voter id card, pan card etc which are attached with my application are proof of my Dob too. Moreover I believe that translation is more important for documents such as marksheets, degree, job responsibilities.

Secondly, my last name was different till my 5 years of age. So in the Generic application form of Canada, I have filled YES for "Have you ever used any other name (e.g Nickname, maiden name, alias etc)". Is that ok? To prove the change of my last name I have attached:
- Copy of my mother's passport copy (that time's photocopy where an entry has been made my an officer of the change of my last name
- An affidavit that was issued at that time (during 1985) to show the change of my last name.
I am hoping that the above proofs will be ok? Please advise.

1. Birth Cert--original +ur plan-translation is ok .

2. Mentioning on generic form--ok

1) Please go through the document checklist. It should be your main reference for the docs you need to submit.
2) As per what I have read from this thread earlier on, you may write your earlier experience as an affidavit. (Official Sworn Statement). The main experience you are counting is best on a company letter head.
3) Forms are widely expected to change on May 1 just as last time. Although other factors probably won't but it is highly recommended to wait.
4) Not mandatory but I believe you can claim 5 points if she does.
5) It is 1000 applications per profession but total cap is set at 25000. Just focus on your NOC. The 25000 will take a while to reach.
6) Extremely hot !!!!!
7) It is required to be submitted unless otherwise stated. For example the London Visa office requests to wait until the office requests it.

Hello seniors,

I've done two-years MBA (Executive) from the LUMS. Prerequisite for this MBA is 16-years of education; so I have a total 18 years of education. Can you pls guide me would it (my mba) be equivalent to canadian masters, if assessed by the WES??

In the end the education level that is counted will be one that is mentioned as recognized in the ECA that you obtain.

EDIT: Just re-read your question. Whether it is recognized or not is solely up to WES and its internal procedures etc.
