Need a suggestion. I think it's already late for me this year and I am planning to have my docs ready for next year (EE whenever it kicks in).

Has anyone in India requested ECA with 'Standard mail via Canada post' option? How much longer does it take compared to International Courier ($85) option? I will be ok if it only takes a week or two extra.

Why wasting money...It differs with 7-8 days in receipt at your end////

As per my understanding I need to send only notary attested copy of the employer's reference letter not the original letter. But the consultants are asking me to send the original reference letter.

Could you please advise?

even notary attested copy of employee ref letter is not required. Plain copy will do.

hAs any one from 2174 recieved their application back, confused with what is happening with 2174 since they updated the number from 800 somthing to 1000 in a day. Not really sure what happened ?

Juny 4th applicant on the forum confirmed that his application got returned because the cap is full. Game is over for 2174 applicants.

Sorry for being skeptical, but are you sure? How could they Jump from 21 or 22 July to charge a 4 August applicant?
Seems a bit strange and unlikely!

Just yesterday i sent a mail to them asking for update.

My application was received on the 18th July, 2014. im based in Lagos Nigeria and submitted from here

Please advice what is next and when is it likely to be?

Really! I can't imagine the great delay your friend has suffered while waiting his application to be processed. All November applicants got the citizenship after 1 or 2 days of filing their applications
