Guys i have very good news for you all, after sometime of having the hesitation about the CAP updates and how it is being estimated and either for completeness check or CC charge or PER. i decided earlier last month to send an email to CIC asking about that specifically. here below the reply i got today

Dear Sir/Madam:

The website provides an estimate only of the applications included in the cap.

Until the application is checked for completeness, it cannot be confirmed as being received. Once it has been determined that the submission is complete, it is counted in the cap and the information is updated electronically. Due to high volumes of submissions, there is a lag between confirmation of receipt of a complete application and the electronic update of the cap count.

I am having Ph.D degree and my file is sent in October. My WES report says the degree was earned through course work, examination and dissertation. I have attached only degree certificate of Ph.D with my application and not transcript for Ph.D Degree as the checklist mentions:
Proof of your completed Canadian or foreign educational credential(s) can include copies of your:
• secondary or post-secondary education documents (certificates, diplomas or degrees), and
• transcripts for successfully completed secondary or post-secondary studies, if available.

During my Ph.D work I had taken course work for only two subjects so we don't have transcripts for it. Will it be a problem? I am applying for NOC 4011 and still can qualify if they consider only masters degree for which I have attached transcripts in my application.

Friends,

10th July APP and no response. No idea what happened to my APP. No response to my email orcall to CIC. Very disappointed but will not give up.

Decided to resend new APP. Collecting all originals again from scratch. I have following question

1. My IELTS expires on December 2014 (taken on December 2012) . Should I retake IELTS or send the photocopy as the original was sent with previous APP.

2. My BC has only parents name and my DOB. My name is not mentioned. What should I do. I have my 10th school cert with DOB. Is this enough.

3. I don't have surname and last name. Can I just mention my name in the surname. This is what I did in the last APP.

4. All my academic cert includes my name + fathers name even though my passport has only my name. Will this be a problem.

Hello All...

Still No PER... July 3 applicant, CC charged on October 20... Apparently, I made a very careless mistake of not applying for FSWP WES Credentials Assessment... I only applied for a standard one... Last week, I got this message from WES...

CIC has informed WES that they cannot verify your ECA report. This is due to the incorrect application choice as the WES FSWP customized application was not selected.

In order for Citizenship and Immigration Canada to process your immigration application, they will need to verify your ECA report using WES's online service. To allow CIC access to your ECA report, you will need to order a duplicate report at

So far, my application has not been returned yet and I applied for a duplicate report already... Will my application be returned eventually?

Dear Seniors,

Need urgent help on Indian PCC. I received MR, RPRF and PCC request yesterday. I have a PCC which is 5 months older. Can I submit the same or should I get a new PCC from PSK and then submit all the documents?

Appreciate your help.

Its safe to send an email to NDVO and ask. I had an old one and they confirmed through email that I can use that.

Here at this forum some will say you can send and some that go for a new one.. Even I would say that it is just Rs. 500 per person to get a new PCC from PSK and it takes just 2 hours to get the same if your residence address is same as in the passport then why to take a chance.. Just for peace of mind you can spend Rs. 500.. Am I right?

Thank you for the reply. I used DD which was not debited till 20th of October as per information of my bank.

In that case, I think you might send an email to CIO asking about the case of your application. their response may come late but it is better than nothing. In the mean time, I hope that you hear good news regarding your FSW application.

How can I take this reply
1) Till 14th Oct they haven't touched my application.
2) Completeness ok and waiting for charging, so it was not entered in system. Bcoz one July applicant told similar reply he got and CC charged.
3) Completeness ok. If returned they would have entered in database. Bcoz one Aug 27th applicant got reply yesterday that application returned on 30th Oct.

Pls give your view. I am tensed. I've sent another enquiry on 8th Oct, when I am getting reply for that email, anyway I'll know I am charged or not.

It takes up to 84 days to finalize completeness check. That's why CIO asks not to send queries before week 10 since application received. At the time CSU reviewed your enquiry, the file was still sitting in the mail room (with no UCI), hence they had no information to share with you.

You are welcome! +1 to you for good luck with your PER which will be soon I hope. Have you sent an inquiry email to CIC? We are advised to do so after 10 weeks from application received date. However, as completeness check has most likely been done for August, I intend to send an email to them upon 8 weeks instead and hope for news. They have a 45 day response period though.

Thank again bro.. I will do that, i believe mine has passed the 10weeks. And probably so that all august applicants had been conducted the completeness checks. I hope i'll get a favorable emial response from CIC.

Really .. , thats good news .. i thought they were stuck at May app's , anyways i am 11th June, i think 1 more month of waiting should suffice
