TangoChalie1234,
It is true that BC should show child's name, DOB and Parent's names. In case, BC is not available at all or important information is missing on BC like in your case, then it is required to submit a written explanation (refer to NOTE on first page of Document Checklist). The applicant must state clearly that why certain document is missing or incomplete and what is the alternative document being submitted. This written explanation will safeduard the applicant against incompleteness of the application.
In your case, it seems that you didn't submit written explanation but you have attached your 10th standard certificate. Hence alternative document is submitted but it is not supported by a written explanation. Now your case is totally dependant on VO if he/she finds the 10th standard certificate along with the BC, he/she will most probably accept it even without written explanation. This is what has happened with few applicants in the past.
Therefore, I would suggest to stay relax and pray for your positive eligibility.

TangoCharlie1234 said:Hi,
I was reading that Birth Ceritificate should furnish all the following three:
Name
DOB
Parent/Parent's Name
Mine does everything but my Name as it says "No Name", but rest everything is in English, also i have submitted my 10th certificate as part of the package which has my complete details there. (all three). There are a lot of people who do not get a name on their BC's. But i think they would tie it to the 10th certificate if needed.??
Its so confusing, i called a consultant for suggestion, they said afidavit is not needed as you have 10th certificate to accompany your details if they need to refer. Coz your BC has your DOB and your parents name in it.
M NUMB ??? : :-[ :-X :-\ :'(
