1. We received your application for permanent residence on May 14, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on October 30, 2014.

Let me know your inputs on when can i expect MR/PCC request.....

Very soon MR / RPRF will be issued.

I am a June 18 Applicant..charged cc October 7...I waited for so long for my PER yet no email from CIO was received..So in desperation...I emailed CIO NS and called CIC call center yet no answer from them...I can check ECAS through my UCI since I am here in Canada and it is showing in Process and we received your app etc etc...but I was worried because I want to know if it is a PER or NER...so in desperation I emailed my LVO CPC Ottawa...a week after i received the email stating that based on their records my files is on process...and they dont require further documents from me for now...with this Email they also sent Reference or File number...so I used this to check ECAS..and I can logged in..the thing is I might have deleted my PER email in my spam...so guys watch out for your spam emails...so in short...File number is equivalent to PER...thanks Guys...ill update the SS

CanOI, are you sure of that? I understand that the PR visa is valid in all Canada. Of course, it will not be seen very well seen by the Quebec authorities due to not using their independent program, but is not ilegal.

I think you could just do landing anywhere except quebec and then move there and avoid all the frowning upon by the authorities. However, if you do not have a good french level i would not advice moving to Quebec, since that would make finding a job very difficult.

MR, RPRF date: 3rd Nov, 2014

Although, I sent application to NDVO to add my kid in application which they received on last Friday only, but I have not got MR for my kid. So will be making CSE with NDVO before going for medicals.

If you land before giving birth your baby will be a Canadian citizen. No problem.

If you give birth before landing, you can't land because you'll have a baby without a visa. In this case your visa is subject to cancellation.

Be careful!

Just thought of sharing my experience with you....
I was in the same kind of circumstances, I received MR just days after we heard the good new, but as suggested by the doc and everyone else in the forum and lot of my doc friends and last not the least, after doing a lot of research myself, we didn't go for an X-ray for my wife... got everything else done and sent it off to NDVO mentioning everything in the cover letter. My ECAS didn't get updated with "MR received", where else for everyone else, who got the complete MR done, it got updated within a week and a half...which I knew was held due to the incomplete MR. I was told by a lot of my friends who are already in Canada that they might waive it off due to the circumstances. If you have any recent X-ray's of your wife done, don't hesitate to take it along while going to the Medical Examinations as "every little helps".
I will continue with my story.... down the line my wife had a miscarriage and we got her X-ray done a week and a half back under the same tracking no. and I e-mailed NDVO about the situation and just yesterday the ECAS got updated with "MR received"
In a nut shell, I just want to say that, incase your wife is expecting, if I was you, wouldn't go for her X-ray to be done right now, may be after 3-4 months if the doc allows, get it done with a protective shield, again it will be your decision to get it done, no one else will take the onus....

Whatever you decide.....All the Best to you my friend.....

Under FSW, you cannot work in Quebec, though you can visit as tourists.
