Any idea why CIC is taking longer than before to update the CAPS on website?

Settlement funds are liquid and unencumbered funds. It is not just assets minus liabilities. From your list above, the fixed deposit, your and your wife's savings and the surrender value of LIC qualify as settlement funds. Your and your spouse's provident funds also qualify as settlement funds IF you can withdraw them in cash on demand. Jewelry would not count.

Second, you cannot represent borrowed funds as settlement funds. If you can't show the required settlement funds out of your own money you don't qualify for FSW. If you represented borrowed funds as your own in your original application, you committed the criminal offense of misrepresentation and if the reviewers discover it you will be rejected and banned from Canada for 2 years or longer. It is possible that the local VO will ask you for 6 months or more of bank statements to verify.

But What if the borrowed money was over than the required settlement fund
(I meant to say that it would have been okay even if I didn't borrow money from my father at that time)

Please comment..??

My 11 June application returned back saying credit card payment decline again re submitted the application with different credit card details now my concern do still wait another four months or CIC can process my application asp since I submitted in June . NOC 1123 worried if I can fill in within the cap please advise. This time my consultant used his company credit card

Within 4-5 days u will receive the same dear,
Don't worry.

65 days since PER and no MR yet

Shall I send an inquiry email to LVO? :-\

You should wait for at least 120 days to get a response from LVO, In Sha ALLAH you will probably get your MR before that

Here goes my 1st post in the forum after being a silent member for more than 4 months...

First of all many thanks to all the Administrators and members for this wonderful forum. This place makes the whole process seem so transparent and stress free.

Now for my good news that my consultant just shared with me

PER mail received today. ;D ;D



My details are as below. Dont have access to SS right now. Will update as soon as I get back home this evening.

App date - 2nd July
Payment mode - DD
DD encashed - 16 Oct
PER received - 28 Oct
NOC - 1123
