Hi Guys,

I have contacted CIC and they told me that my application under processing and give me my UCI number as well what does it mean?
Does it mean my application get through application completeness and wait for last verification of point and NOC identifying

Thanks in Advance

Hello,

I decided to immigrate to Canada and found myself swimming in papers (and rules). I'm new to this so I ask you to bear with me and explain me in plain english and with examples:

I have read and re-read and over-read the paragraph about non-english documents, still I find a grey area for me.
Lets take an example: a work experience letter.
Do I send (1)a simple legalized copy by a notary of the letter in my language + (2) the legalized translation of doc (1)?
Did any of you send something else?
What about the passport? it is written in ro/eng/fr, does it need a certified copy by the notary or a simple copy will do just fine?

I would like to mention that where I'm from (Romania) one can obtain a legalized copy of a doc, then over-legalize it at the chamber of notaries and then over-legalize it at the ministry of foreign affaires.
For the canadian application did anyone need an over-legalization from the ministry of foreign affaires?

In my little experience I sent the university diploma and the transcript with all the over-legalization stamps on the originals and on the translation and they moved fast, the WES.

Looking forward to your kind help and thanking you in advance!

Unless the original documents are required ( IELTS Test Report, credential assessment report, Police clearance certificates), photocopies of all other documents can be send without notarized, but bear in mind that any documents which is NOT in english Language, it should be translated into english by Legal Translators.
Good Luck.

Congrats and +1 to you !!

PCC is required for stay in a country more than 6 months at a stretch. (other than Canada)
If anyone is providing for stay less than 6 months, it is his/her choice. Not mandated by CIC.
Hi CanOl,

Do you remember any member who stayed for like less than 6 months in a country ( other than canada ) in one stretch and again less than 6 months in the same country in another stretch and wasn't requested to report PCC for that country ?

Can you not get the work experience letter in English or French? Since it is THE most important document, you don't want anything to be lost in translation. If it weren't in English or French, then it would have to be translated and the translation would have to be notarized. For the passport again, if all the information is also written in English and /or French then no need for a translation or notarization. SImple photocopies are fine.

Did you have a UCI number before? If not, it should be a tell-tale sign that your application is through the initial checking process and awaiting ER. Hopefully it works to be a PER ... GOOD LUCK!

BTW...are you a July 15th Applicant?

Should not be an issue!! If I remember, there have been such applications before who have already received PER!

CIC online still does not say: Medicals Received, we had it completed on 23rd October :(

Is it true that Landing fee of $490 per applicant is DUE within 45 days of receiving MR request from Canada?
