Since I am a 1st Oct applicant, I have a lot of waiting time allowing me the luxury of letting my mind wander. Hence, request you to please bear with me
Just had a couple of thoughts regarding the process from application receipt at CIC to PER email. Not sure if this is the correct sequence:
Step 1 - Application received at CIC in May-2014
Step 2 - CIC Team A performs completeness check on the May-2014 applications
Step 3 - CIC Team B updates the Cap status based on feedback on completeness check of May-
2014 applications by CIC Team A
Step 4 - CIC Team C commences charging of Credit Cards/ Encashment of DD on the complete applications in May-2014
Step 5 - CIC Team D sends out PER emails to the May-2014 applicants
Step 6 - In the meantime, CIC Team A finishes the completeness check for the next month (Jun-2014) and sends out the complete list of applications in Jun-2014 to CIC Team B
Step 7 - CIC Team B does not update Cap status until CIC Team D has completed sending out the PER emails for May-2014 applicants
Step 8 - CIC Team C commences charging of Credit Cards/ Encashment of DD on the complete applications in Jun-2014
Step 9 - CIC Team D first finishes all PER emails for all the May-2014 applications
Step 10 - Once CIC Team D has sent out PER emails for all the May-2014 applications, it informs CIC Team B to update Cap status with the details of the complete applications in Jun-2014
Step 11 - CIC Team D starts sending out PER emails to Jun-2014 applicants
And because of this gap between the quick progress made in finishing the completeness check by Team A but stopped from updating the Cap status until CIC Team D finishes with the PER emails, the Cap status update is delayed
