i just received the MR RPRF yesterday....i have applied slong with my spouse as dependent....i have a doubt. ...wat will be the total fee for RPRF....is it just $490 for both if us....or $490 each for me and spouse...dats total $980....i am very confused...and wat would be better....to make draft in INDIAN RUPEES or CANADIAN DOLLAR. ..PLEASE HELP HELP HELP. ... ???

I have a situation here.....

I got my medicals on 13th Sep and my wife is pregnant for 5 Months and expected delivery date is Mar'15. In this case though if I complete the medicals will my PPR will be delayed till the child birth or will it be issued?????

Anybody having idea on this situation or seniors who came across this situation please help....

Getting your permanent resident status $490

Principal applicants (with some exceptions) and spouses and common-law partners coming with them to Canada must pay this fee. Applicants must pay this fee before CIC issues the permanent resident visa or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

These people do not have to pay this fee:
•dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
•protected persons, including Convention refugees.


It is advisable to pay this fees online instead of a draft.

What if i don't have BC of relative in Canada, would an affadavit from myside suffice that don't have BC of relative ? (my relative don't have any degree to show the name of my grandfather, she just have her old nikah nama to proof the name of my father, hence that marriage certificate is also too old and not from any authority) any document which can proof the name of my grandfather OR affadavit is the only option ?
