My sympathies for your circumstances.

A. If you become legally separated (if such a thing exists where you live), you'd need to show the legal document stating so. Otherwise you can explain the situation to your local VO and they will instruct you accordingly.

B. It probably won't affect your application.

C. If you are still legally married I believe they will still request a PCC for your spouse. Perhaps you can obtain PCCs now to avoid the problem, or perhaps you can convince your spouse to cooperate with you and obtain the PCC so you can settle your matters amicably. If neither is possible, you will have to explain this to the local VO and they will instruct you accordingly.

D. Do you have children together with your spouse or who have been legally adopted by your spouse? If so this is an additional issue to deal with.

Thank you for your help and sympathy. I am from India and am not sure if there is a legal separation document which I can get but I will investigate further.
I will try and get a PCC now to circumvent the problem. Also no kids so that is something I won't have to worry about now. Hopefully it can be worked out but then there is only so much one can do.

Sure, if the explanation is convincing to CIC it is perfectly fine, then they just have to be sponsored later.

But, why would they have to be convinced? It is a matter of personal choice. After all family can choose to live in which ever country they feel like. I think CIC asks for a reason to know why, but I dont think we can give a convincing explanation in the space they have provided.

Was there any case in the past which got rejected as some one did not give proper reason why their family was not accompanying.

I have checked entire CIC website, it was not mentioned anywhere that we need to give convincing reason.

Please enlighten me, as i guess im missing a moot point here.

Thats weird! I have sent 4 packages to CIC so far this year through DHL, Fedex and UPS. All have received date, time and personnel name. I think you should call up DHL customer care and ask for this detail. Also verify the address where they delivered it.

I just called up DHL customer care. As per them it has been received and signed by Mike. Not sure why his name is not coming on online tracker.

Now, Since i did not provide BC for myself and my wife... not sure if my application will be accepted... though i have provided "declaration" from parents along with school certs + PAN/Adhar/voter card.....

but still not very confident !!! :-X

Hi,

One question about the proof of funds. Is it required to have the money in a Canadian bank?

Some friends of mine have done this but the official information only states that one must show proof of readily transferable funds in a convertible currency, according to the number of people going to Canada.

So, having the money in my country and showing certifications from my current bank is valid?

money can definitely be in local bank. Not necessary to have it in Canadian bank.

For the experience letter, i didn't send the kind of letter that CIC has asked for as that would have adversely affected my relation with boss (which anyways is not very good) but i did send most of the supporting document that is mentioned in application guide.

I sent employment certificate which mentions period of employment and my position. It didn't include job duties, however I sent my offer letter which was offered to me before joining and this document mentions my job duties.

My question to you seniors is that, with your experience with so many different type of cases would the above combination of documents be acceptable to CIC?

Thanks to everyone for help, support and continuous posts. I just have to tell you guys that Canada is awesome as I'm already here on a work visa but on Sunday my very expensive bike tire got stolen of my bike when I went to McDonalds for 5 minutes. It was very upsetting and don't expect this country to be perfect. It is great but still be cautious. This news that I got today totally makes up for it though.

PER is received via E-mail if you have provided an e-mail address in your application form.
