If you are thinking of re-applying under 2174, then it would be of no use as it is most likely capped by now. So, if you have job experience in any other related NOC (which is relatively open), try to apply under that one.

Regarding degree certificate, you simply need a photocopy, neither original nor certified is needed. But yes, original education assessment report (like WES) is mandatory.

Please go through the rejection letter carefully, so you don't miss any (other) rejection point.

Unless it is in a language other than English or French.

I have received two different replies. I need few more confirmations please.

Guys I'm confused and need support with regards to additional family info form. I understand it has to be filled by "Principal" applicant and "Spouse" but how?

Principal Applicant = A
Spouse = B

First Form = Second Form or Second Form

A as Applicant = B as Applicant A as Applicant
B as Spouse = A as Spouse B as Spouse
A's Mother = B's Mother B's Mother
A's Father = B's Father B's Father
A's Children = B's Children B's Children

I got my PER on 13 of Aug.... no MR yet.....

Ottawa doesn't send AOR, so prepare for another round of the waiting game as the MRs, etc will be there in ~40 days. And yes,PER is a big deal, you are half way through.

I am really sorry for your situation. I know how you feel, few days ago I was in your shoes...


I received the all application back in the mail. I included WES copy instead of original, that was my mistake.

I was advised to prepare the all package like a new package, so what I did:

I updated all forms, even the forms which didn't changed, I updated them with new signature date.
I updated Bank Certification Letter - so they have current bank information

1. I wrote letter staying that I am responding to their letter, and enclosing missing document (WES Original)
2. I included all forms previously mailed
3. I made all new package new forms and supporting documents

so I mailed everything in one envelope making three separate sets:
1. my letter & their letter
2. old forms (with their check marks)
3. new application- new forms and supporting documents

regarding your paperwork:

I enclosed:
Original WES
copy of diploma - certified by notary
copies of transcript - certified by notary
translation of diploma - original
transaction of transcript - original

P.S. CIC put UCI number on the application by pencil, I used this number and put it on the envelope as well as on the form. I don't know if that will halp, if they can take my application and check sooner, or I am back in line again.... I will write on forum as soon as I will know.

Hi All,
I have a question. This forum is fantastic. I have been silent reader of this forum for months.
Although have a question now: I submitted my application on June 24 and yesterday I received my application back due to the missing birth certificate. (thats it)
However, in my initial application I included the bonafide certificate, secondary school certificate indicating my date of birth.

However I managed to find the copy of my birth certificate and school leaving certificate. I resend my application today. Hopefully they will consider this.
I checked all my application forms, there was a UCI number noted in my application.
I am an NOC 2171 category. Will I be considered back to the June applicants or I will be considered again from the date my application will reach cic this coming friday?

Please help!!!

Hi folks

Would you please help me to understand if my duties as an Analyst/Consultant, in what is called a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) with Windows Servers 2008-2012, are the right ones for NOC 2171?

The thing to do is look at the page for NOC 2171 and determine whether you match a substantial amount of the duties listed, including those listed in the "lead statement" (introductory paragraph) and most of the "main duties" and all of the "essential duties" (if there are any "essential duties" listed, for most NOC there aren't). Then come back with specific questions.

Better get moving because 2171 is filling up fast.
