It was established earlier that the figures in the CIC under "applications we will accept..." section stand for issued PERs.
This conclusion is easily drawn from the fact that allocation of CAP and PER actually represent two sides of a coin. You cannot issue PER and not allocate the CAP and vice versa.

well, they could always issue an NER...?

i guess the chain of flow is as:
received applications -> complete apps (after completeness check) -> reviewed apps -> PER or NER

If the numbers that are published by the CIC are indeed PERs, I might not fall within the cap considering that PERs issued now were from apps recieved in June :s

Dear Forum Member,

I am still not able to get my application out for 2171 as in Hyderabad, India its a holiday season and my application is in final verification and validation.

I will be able to send it by first week of October. Anyguess or input from our seniors here...

I give myself 40 to 50% chance now for 2171 for first week of October, which is right now 311 and I guess these are all the ones who got the PR and not sure how many application for which CC has been charged and also how many app which have been received.

Unfortunately, I am inclined to agree that you will not fall within the cap :'( It's the second most popular category. I remember last year, for FSW 2013, they gave away the last 100 of the 300 spots within the span of a FEW DAYS, so I didn't get it. So I've been there, it stinks! Is there another category you can apply to, given your expertise? Don't give up!

I would encourage you to go for 2172 - Database......

Just work on the job reference letter to align it with the 2172 NOC.

Hi everyone,

For anyone who is applying from USA or ever lived in US and need to get a PPC i.e from FBI, I would just to start applying early and not wait till the Medical Request since from Sep 7th the FBI has updated their web page with the below info:

"On September 7, 2014, CJIS installed a new IT system. As as result of this installation, we are experiencing delays in processing. Please be assured that each issue is being identified and resolved as quickly as possible, but at this time we anticipate processing time for an Identity History Summary to be approximately 12 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery. We respectfully request that you refrain from calling to check on the status of your request prior to 12 weeks."

Since when we get the Medical & PCC request the CIC gives only 60 Days to reply back, I'm in the similar situation got the request on Sep9th and I applied for the PCC from FBI in the same week. So looks like I have to reply back with only Medical and PCC from india before Nov 1st week and say that I'm waiting for FBI report and I'm sure that it would delay the process by a month or so.

Yes, but i did not take into consideration the 1st week of June thing, i just estimated the date the CIC will officially say the NOC is full and went 90 days before that date to estimate the last possible date of app reception at CIO to be within the cap

Again, just a theory based on averages, if these averages drop like many of you have suggested, it is possible that all Oct applicants on NOC 2173 could fall in the cap.

From FBI you will get it only by Dec Mid 2014. They need one month exclusively for updating and analyzing the Fingerprint ...Got a mail revert from them regarding this......

First, my deep congrats for all PERs, CC/DD charged and all the best for the rest..

As per CIC CAP update, only 2 new more 0013 records added and no SS updates for the same NOC though

0013 applicants are in a very vague situation with NO vision or speculation on what's going on in CIO ...

Any help on how to get any info? waiting becomes more and more so bad...

2 application returned in 0013 NOC. Can you guys share ur details for rejection. Me too under NOC 0013, no news yet

You will get the revert on next day or same day . They are fast in that.........
