I am a 2014-applicant but unable to see old ECAS status (a 2008 case)

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone please confirm whether you can see the status of old application(s) that was/were previously refused on ECAS? When I log in, I can only see the "in process" status of my application that I submitted in May, 2014. I do not see anything about the application I had submitted in 2008.

Here is a bit of dust covered history:
I am not sure how many are aware, but, back in 2008, it was called the Simplified Application method whereby an applicant would be required to submit only forms and no supporting documents, directly to the responsible visa office. In November_2008, Ministrial Instructions came in effect for the first time that shortened the list of eligible NOC's and retroactively rendered some applications, submitted between February and November, ineligible for processing. Mine was one of those unfortunate ones as my NOC was no longer in the new list. In addition, sometime in a later year CIC began the job of returning thousands of applications without processing filed even before February_2008, as part of a move toward cleaning up a large backlog.

Why am I saying all that? It is because I need to get rid of the grim feeling I am having - wondering whether CIC treated my case as a refusal or something else.

Don't worry David_C, CIC is currently charging appplications for first week of June only. Few 9th and 10th applicants also got charged but also you can see that even 21st May applicants are also getting charged.

IMO, u should give some more time to CIC, u will surely hear a good new from them

Regrading CC charging -
- Make sure from bank that you have sufficient International credit limit.
- Notify your bank that you are expecting a charging of CAD xxx in few days.

First of all congratulations to those who got charged and got PER !

I"ve send my application on June 2'nd and it arrived there on 4 or 5 of June. My NOC is 2171. On the FSW spreadsheet the ones that sent the application later then mine with one week got charged already. What is this supposed to mean ?

Does anybody have a phone number because i want to contact them to see the status of my application.

Also, what kind of pre checks have you done to the credit card ? I've removed the limit only. I want to make sure that they can redraw the money.

PCC is always in original .If you have got 2 copies from PSK, submit the second original with other documents. Basically one should submit documents when asked for by VO.

Now in New Delhi, if we go for a PCC from Delhi Police( SP, DSP etc.), it is online and PCC will be sent thru email which will be digitally signed.. If we will take black and white print out then it will not look original..
Just checking if anyone has sent PCC from Delhi Police instead of Passport Seva Kendra...

Guys , If i pay RFRF online , how it will link to my application number as in online payment mode , there is no way to link application number/UCI to payment page ....

suppose if i pay it online , then how Visa office will link it to my application ?

I am 5th June applicant for NOC 2171. Still did not get any notification of CC or PER. Anyone else with same state of mine.

I am an 4th June applicant for NOC 2171. I was not charged yet on my Credit Card.

Have you changed your Credit Card limit ? i ve read that were people who could not get the card charged because the limit was too low.

However, in the forms and all, I didnt mention about the old passport details(I am not sure whether it was asked anywhere). However, I got the PER but do I need to inform NDVO about the same ? Confused.

hi migratecanada2012, if you pay RPRF online you have to print out the official receipt (which you will also receive through email) given after payment. You need to write in and fill-up your details in the designated fields in the receipt. Then you need to send this filled-up official receipt form to your Visa Office so that they can link it to your application.

Don't worry. It was not required to mention old passport details in any of the forms.

But if you have any previous travels on that old passport, those should have been mentioned in the travel information form. But I don't think that you need to update NDVO about it.

Well.. You can pay in INR also.. Its Rs. 26700 per adult.. Please visit Canada Embassy, India website to check "In Favour Of" to prepare the Draft.. I found it approx. Rs. 300 cheaper as this amount is fixed... I know Rs. 300 is not a big deal but I guess this is good option that you send Draft to NDVO directly with PCC..

Today my application status on the website changed to decision made, also I got email from the london office with a CIIP brouture and cover letter. Does that means I got it. If that is the case in how much time the local VO(london) is going to ask about passports and how much time they are going to give me to send them passports and how much time the visa is going to take from Pakistan

I am expected to travel on an international assignment shortly so what should I do is it possible to request them to send my visa to the country where I will be and send my family passports from Pakistan, how much delay is possible e.g if I will be in travel for a month can some one share their experience please

Hi Captain. Congratulations on your update. I just wanted to know something. Before your status was updated to Decision Made what was the status when you got your MR. I ask this because I'm an 8th May Applicant and received my PER on August 14. But my status on ECAS is still in process. Its a little concerning, since applicants after me on the LVO have already had their second line updated on ECAS. Could you please provide your feedback on this. Views of other members would also be appreciated.
