Okk.. So I should apply for 2172 or 2173 .. So I know databases very good and I am software engineer with 2+ year exp in design and develop.
It wont harm if I show my exp in these categories by asking my employer to produce it in this way?
Please tell. it may take upto 15 Oct to finally send the application.

kindly match job description of these noc on cic website n stick to that specific job duties mentioned on the website

Does the number of 'completed applications received' indicate the applications which have been assigned a file number or just the number of applications received in that particular category?

Hello All,

Hope everyone who have got the PER email are partying and those waiting are keeping the hopes up. With time it will come through.

I have an interesting question and would be happy if someone can point me to some document/rules where I can find a solution to my problem.

My wife has applied for FSWP this year and we hope the application gets through (PER received). Myself and our son are part of the application as dependents. NOC is 2174 and visa office is NDVO. Meanwhile I had received an offer for PhD from a University and have accepted the offer. Currently I am in Canada doing PhD. I have two questions on my current position:-

• We have informed CIO about my study permit. Does it have any influence on our PR application?
• Spouse of a person on study permit is allowed to get an open work permit. Is it ok for my wife and son to apply for an open work permit and join me here? The PR application generally will take 22 months for processing. The idea is that my family can join me here while the PR application is getting processed. Does applying for an open work permit affect the PR application in any way?

I am confused a bit on this, so any help and ideas or examples of similar cases will really be helpful. Looking forward to replies.

brother who told u it takes 22 months to get pr for indian applicants?.......have u noticed the speed of ndvo? there are applicants of may 2014 who are now getting MR calls.......in 4th month MR call.......in next 4 months these will be in Canada......so a process of mere 8 months on avg!

why u want to take ur family in Canada? for visitors its too costly to live there.........either u r really too rich to think like that or u really have no idea about its life. if u r really too rich then no prob......but otherwise u can know as u r already there that how hard it is to live there on a visit visa. so why taking so much tension and worrying.......enjoy ur studies and in 8 to 10 months ur family will be there with u.

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten PER and done Medicals.

I have a little concern and would appreciate some information. My application was received by CIC on July 15 under NOC 1112. As of today there are about 646 applications accepted. Does that include mine received at CIC on July 15? It appears there are conflicting opinions about the methods that CIC uses to uupdate it's weekly cap records.

Kindly advise.

obviously which have been processed initially and assigned a number.....not the received ones.......they receive hundreds every day!

Anyway so for 2172 I need to get exp letter for my that work and try to send it as I get WES. I thought maybe I am not that doomed see being optimistic but I see here that all saying that caps full now . just made me sad. thats all. :-[

buddy u r wrong.........it doesn't include apps of july yet..........cio is on june 10-15 applicants......they didn't even crossed june 15 completely......ur app is one month away.......and I m doubtful if u can make it or not.......its already 646.....as a guess.....it will get filled in less than next 25 days since june 15 2014......u r on edges......lets see..........good luck

My NOC is 1113 and application date was 10th June 2014.

brother don't get depressed and hurt........our words may sound like daggers but we don't mean to hurt ur hopes and struggle.

2173 is standing at 343. cio has reached on june 10 applicants...........from may 1 till june 10.....in 40 days it reached at 343.......according to this trend.........it will take estimated next 76 days to get filled.......so from june 10 it will be on august 26 roughly..............so u can say it will get filled by applicants of august 26 2014.......a rough estimation..........if u apply now say on sept 30.......u r already late by more than a month.........how u can u even think its possible?
