1) What are the documents needed to send to WES for assessment? 10th, 12th, B.Tech (Computer Science) - final degree or marksheets?
[After you register to WES, and you specif your country, the WES will give you a link with a detailed description of what documents are required and how it is required to be sent to them.]
Since WES charge is so high, so wanted to know all the steps in prior. Did you do through WES?

2) What are the documents required as evidence/proof for applying under a particular NOC? Some writing on a company letterhead ??
[basically a letter on company letterhead stating your title, detailed job description, hours of work per week, salary and other benefits , signed and stamped by company stamp is enough, any additions like the business card of your supervisor, pay slips and job appointment is welcome to make a more solid evidence for your work experience]
Is there any workaround for this? Employer and my management might not like it that I will be leaving their company soon, and this might affect my appraisals/promotions.
This evidence of work is only required for current employer or all past employers ??

for wes
go to wes online ......make your profile .....create your reference number.....then go to ur college/university from where u have done your b.tech. and ask them to provide all transcripts/details marks cards whichever were issued by the university to you.......but they may either send these documents to Wes directly ......then again login to your profile and see when fees is required .....pay the fees ($299)
then just follow the online instructions ......u r done!
This reply exactly serves my confusion. Thanks bro!!!

Doubt:
1) So I need to get the transcripts of all marksheet(s) and final degree certificate from the University or my college?? Because on WES site they say "Institution" - does it mean University or my College?
FYI - my college is not autonomous.

2) Say a case: there was a change of University, where for all 4 year marksheets are provided by university "X" but by the time I got passed, the university was changed to "Y". The final degree certificate was provided by "Y" then.
Is this fine or some special thing need to be done ?

Please help!!

Now this is a serious problem and hurdle.

Getting this part done is a real difficult for me. Can this be done though some other route?

What if I approach a immigration consultant? Will they be able to help me with this?

in your case institution means University ......
and don't worry about the change in name .....your university must have a valid website ....
and in most of the cases university sends the documents on its own ......and if they hand the sealed envelope (of documents) to you.....then also you are not allowed to open the seal.....

What is AOR?
Also once we get PER, does it mean file has been transfered to Local visa office?
AOR stands for "Acknowledgment of Receipt." It is an official document issued by the Canadian government that confirms an application for permanent residence status in Canada. Typically, immigrants to Canada must hold permanent residence status for a period of time before applying for Canadian citizenship. The AOR does not give the applicant any rights within Canada; however, it still contains important information that the applicant will require during the application process for permanent residency.

No, the University was not renamed. Sorry for the miscommunication.

My college moved from University "X" to under University "Y".

In PER email they write that now your file will be transferred to your local visa office......since many vo are not issuing aor, so people actually think that its been transferred in the same or next day after receiving per. in case of lvo, they do issue aor.....

Thanks for your suggestion. Physical or Telephonic verification is absolutely fine and more over very welcome in this circumstance.

But, did you know if any case which has happened in the past like this? Can you please share their details so that I can find out what exactly happened and how their case has concluded.

Thanks again.
Nope not that I can recollect buddy. If he has worked in UK he should have some doc, like visa letter etc right... Just to support the case, if in case it goes for scrutiny. But hey I guess he should submit app and hope for best.

is it possible to bring CAD$30000 when immigrating? I know that we have to declare it if we have 10000 or more......but I was wondering if its ok to bring that much in cash? what would u guys suggest? is it fine and safe to carry that much in cash?

actually when I will be going inshAllah......I wont be coming back, I will have to finish and wind up everything before departing, so I cant leave my finance here in banks. also I wont be having a bank account b4 landing there so I cant transfer in advance......should I carry bank drafts or travelers check? what if something goes wrong with bank draft and I m not able to fly back to modify or correct the mistake or issue?

please advice, thanks.
Salamu Alikom Farhantariq,

another point you need to check, how much cash is allowed for you to carry while leaving your country of origin/residence. In Egypt, we are NOT ALLOWED to carry more than $10K regardless of declaring or not declaring. Hope you don't have such restriction in your country.

All the best future Canadian :)

Regards,
Ahmed

Hi Saps,

A gift from a father, it cant be considered a borrowed money. If that is the case, they can ask for source of funds for everything and anything we show as proof of funds, which we can't show. Even if it is legally earned money and it is from ones salary, which is accumulated over 3-4 years, it is possible to show all that?

One can always claim that it is his, provided it will be with him forever. Let them put an FD and can show the same funds in the future if and when there is a query.

Hope you got my point of view.
Well as I said, I don't know how CIC construes gift money. Let's not forget, parents too lend out money as loan to children in the west. It's not the same system as in India :)

Even if it's FD, they can always ask for money trail right ! So in that case let that person have a backup, is all I am saying. TRUCE ;D

Hello friends,

I'm in urgent need of help and consult,

My app received date is 6th June, I used my cousin's visa card who is living outside Canada as method of payment, yesterday we found out that the card is suspended due to not have been used for several months and nothing could be done until my cousin go to the bank himself and he can't go to Canada till 15th October which by my calculation according to this site is already too late.

I can send CIC another payment form with a valid credit card but I really don't know if that helps my case, I'd be more than grateful if u could please help me find a solution to work this out.

U friends know better than anyone how disappointed I am after waiting this long.... :( :(

CIBIL report can be accessed by anyone who has a login and password for the CIBIL site. All financial institutions including my organisation has a CIBIL userid. This is used to check the creditworthiness of a customer.

To be noted is that, Bank names are mentioned as xxxxxxx where the customer has credit facilities (home loans, car loans, personal loans, Credit card payments, etc) or has defaulted.

But the credit history is provided nevertheless without bank names. If NDVO or their 3rd party vendors have a CIBIL userID, then they can also check the creditworthiness of an applicant, albeit without bank names. However I doubt they use this, else most of the applications would have been rejected, as most do not mention their home loans and car loans.
I am still karmafied to give you +1 guess I will have to wait it out ... ;D

Thanks for the info. I knew financial institutes can access it, didnt know about the latter though.

I see

So, any member can find any consumer's loan history in India. The following are eligible for membership:
CIBIL Membership is available to the following institutions:

Credit Institutions (banks, RRBs, Co-operative bank , NBFC, Public Financial Institution, Housing Finance Institution etc. companies engaged in the business of credit cards and other similar cards and companies dealing with distribution of credit in any other manner or any other institution which the Reserve Bank may specify, from time to time, for this purpose)

Insurance Companies

Companies providing cellular or telephone services

Credit Rating Agencies

Asset Reconstruction Companies

So, technically, if NDVO has a good connection with any of the institution, they can get loan information - still it will become spying and unethical to do so - I don't believe, my dream country will indulge into this type of activities. Nonetheless, it is warning for Indian applicants.
+1 Century for hoping your dream country is honest ;)
