Hi everyone...its interesting to read everyday new people post and their questions.

But when I try to answer any of the questions...it says already someone else has reverted to the post and asks me to review.

is there any solution to that.... ??

Go to Profile-> Notifications and EMail -> Uncheck this box "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic. " and Save settings.

Guys whats the next process? When the the Visa office from India contact ? Will they email or make a phone call? if by email ID what would be the email ID?

keep an eye brother, congratulations first, they will contact by Email, but there is still time in that, may be a month or so

1. If the additional doc is placed in the first app then your CC/DD will be charged/encashed for first application....

2. As soon as you get PER for first application, cancel your CC, that will prevent second application from passing the initial stage.

3. If your first application is rejected then it will not have any negative impact on second one.

If in step 2 you are unable to cancel your cc then you might get charged again and both the apps might be accepted. At the Local Visa office stage you can discontinue one of the application.

Seeking a view!

My application was delivered on 11-Aug, but I forgot to attach one important document, so as advised the additional doc was sent with cover letter followed by email, and same delivered at CIC on 28-Aug.

In order to avoid taking any chances, I prepared & dispatched second set of complete application, and the same was delivered on 10-Sep.

Now, as of today CIC have 2 set of applications for the same NOC, what do guys think, will it be any negative impact on my case? If they accept my first set application, then what they will do with the second set.

Please share your thought and understanding.

THanks Glad Yes got to know about it on 1 day lag as my dad is from same bank i got the DD, he is in forex so gets an updated report every next day about NOSTRO account. Hope this helps

Thank you. I am asking because I read that for some DD applicants it took like 2 weeks for the bank to know that the money was encashed.. I am hoping that it is my case because when I called the bank they said the DD is not encashed yet ..

Members I didn't write names in native language in IMM 5406 for myself and spouse.
For my toddler I didn't fill any IMM 5406. Is it Okay?

Also I sent 2 mailing labels both in English. I am Indian and native language is (hindi) but official language used is English/Hindi.

You should have written names in native language; today morning there was another forum member stating the same issue. It has been stated on top of form 5406. If I had forgotten the same I would have considered sending these additional forms to be added to the original application.

Toddler, by definition would be way younger than 18 years old, hence you don't have to fill the form.

Labels can be just in English in case of India; since English is one of our official languages. Technically most of us would never have addressed letters in Hindi; our postal department is sufficiently educated for addresses in English. So you are all good for this.

I would never prefer this if I had a choice, but SBI gives DDs to non customers and has branches even in the remotest of areas.

So pls contact them.

Also traveling 30kms for DD to secundrabad ICICi Branch is no big deal as per me if you are applying for Canada. Choice is yours.

I actually do have an account with SBI, I was thinking they'll be more difficult to work with! Will first approach them, and then others.

Well, issue with the travel is, it'll take nearly 4 hours of work day - and in my situation, I cannot be out of office for more than 1 hour Also, in case they don't have it, then I've wasted 4 hours for nothing.

But yes, agree - anything for the PR. Thanks for the SBI info buddy!

Yup, I've once had my Bank of AMerica credit card changed due to some frauds in Chicago. I had been in Chicago only for 3 days, and they marked me as potential victim of fraud! That's when I decided i'm never relying on CC for critical payments...

Hi All,

I have applied for the PR to NOC code of 2173 and application is received on 4 june 2014. i have not placed HR letter in document which is described all my jobs roles and responsibilities but placed all the Appointment letter, all hike leters and what ever i had from my company till now.

will it be a problem for processing my application as till now my DD is not encashed. please provide your inputs please.

And yes, nearly everything is ready. Last one thing is left - The International DD
I should be done today / tomorrow then put everything in a nice envelope and keep one placeholder to put the report. Then off it is to Sydney!
