Hi Everyone!
Super-nervous - looking to send in my application in the next few days under the Marketing occupation on the list for this year. Quick Question - i'm a single applicant, never been married. Do i need to download the Additional Dependents/Declaration form and mention NA (not applicable) or can i just ignore it altogether. I know it sounds like a stupid question but CIC does stress everywhere on the website that the whole package must be filled out.
It would be great if someone could please confirm.

yes but in the cover letter by CIC they have highlighted "NOTE :Work experience" .....but i think i have given them a very good experience letter the highlight on work experience is confusing me or should i follow only appendix highlight of form.

Many people here say that because already over 660 apps are filled for 2174 for applications that have received PER till roughly May 22, the cap will be filled by mid-June, I created the following analysis.



The graph shows the cumulated amount of apps received in the SS by date for the 5 hottest NOC.

Assuming that the CAP update by CIC includes PERs for all apps received until May 22, we can figure out that on May 22, the number of apps in the SS for 2174 is 222. Let's divide this by the 662 that CIC updated this Monday and we can conclude that roughly 33.5% of all apps received by CIC for 2174 are included in the SS.

The question now is, when does the CAP reach overall 1000. To figure this out, I checked when the apps in the SS reached 335 (33.5% out of 1000), which happened on August 14.

My analysis presumes that all people who have not reported back their status for May 1 - 22 received PER and did simply not update their entry in the SS, which accounts to roughly 25%. Their might be a few May 1 - 22 applicants that still will receive PER and were not yet considered in the cap updates by CIC, but as there were also some May 23/26 applicants that received PER already, this number should balance.

I hope that this is helpful for anyone even though my estimate is more pessimistic that the official SS estimate.

All other caps are not filled yet, but based on this analysis, 2173 should be next in early October.

Again, this is just my personal take on this and only an estimate. Please do not freak out.

thanks for the analysis. How about doing a calculation taking only the PERs received in the excel and comparing against CIC no assuming that they are indeed PERs. Then the % apps in the SS will come down drastically and the CAP closure date will advance much ahead. Please do your calculations and let me know.

Hi Experts,

I am a newbie to this forum though I've been following it for a while now. I am going to send my application in mid of November for FSW2014. Will it be late to submit application in November mid for FSWP 2014?

I scored Overall 6 in IELTS and giving it again to score higher in November first week. I went abroad to implement the project early this year and things got delayed - right from fetching transcripts from university, WES evaluation, etc. I am currently waiting for WES evaluation report. I had sent requests to HR from current and previous IT firms to receive experience letter with no more delays.

I am working as software engineer in current organisation though I am involved in database analysis and ETL programming (Unix shell scripting). I am confused under which NOC I will fall and which will be safe bet since I am late in applying already.

While choosing NOC which is given preference - designation OR roles and responsibilities in letter. I can relate 4 NOC with the nature of work I am doing currently or in the past. NOC 2171 to 2174 but 2172 looks more like my current work profile. If i consider my past experience i can consider other three NOC's too. I have total 7 years IT experience.

Please advise.

Its not about overall IELTS score, that matters, what matters is one you should have minimum 6 in each of L/W/R/S tests to qualify and then calculate, if you get minimum 67 points to be eligible.

Choose a NOC which is not on the top hot NOC's if you qualify 2171 to 2174, ofcourse don't select 2174 and 2173. You should have atleast 1 year exp in the intended NOC. However you still get points for exp in other NOC's if they are of Skill level 0,A,B.

Can you add the number 6 in the list of hot NOC's 2281 to see when it should reach the CAP
