I am 30th May applicant under NOC 2171....Today morning i received a message "A charge of CAD 1100 has been initiated on your CC"...

Its all because of your best wishes and the efforts put by the mentors on this forum. Hats off to you guys who are doing really a great job ;D...

Also i would like to know from all the senior members that, does CC charge means that my duties mentioned, matched the NOC category i have applied? Or is it that it is still to be evaluated?
As i was bit worried about the roles and responsibilities mentioned in the reference letter.

As for your query , CC/DD charge means you passed the first step of completeness check. Most likely PER shall follow after eligibility review

I am a May 28th Applicant under NOC 2174. Still there is no CC charge. Should I mail CIC as 30th May applicants under the same NOC have got already?

You gotta stay put ..... THere is a lag for some applicants ... some are charged the first day and it can go on for 2 weeks ..... SO stay put till 26th September.... If you dont hear anything till then, that would be the time to start worry .... You have quite some time to go .... GOod news is coming your way anyday in the next 8 working days .. I think there is no better place than this forum for me to get help...........

My bank has mentioned me that i have 40000 withdrawal limit and 100000 rs as POS Transaction
limit on my debit card.

I need to pay 1400 cad

is there is enough limit available to do the transaction or there is difference between
POS transaction and international usage limit.....

please advise/..............

Hi Pankaj, I replied to it earlier. Note that for International Credit Card, it generally have two account: one for local and another for international transaction. So you need to get the information from your bank about how much is for international transaction approved and limit.

Though I was talking about international credit card, it should be same for international debit card also. Only the difference should be you have to deposit earlier before encashment.

How much is for international transaction amount (in USD)? Ask them to clarify it.

Go to Thomas Cook or similar travel agency office which deals with forex. They will be able to help you with the DD better than any bank.

I had a bad experience with HDFC (where my account is), none of their branches in Noida/Ghaziabad had Canadain Dollar DD in stock as stationary.
I spoke to a travel agency and they said it will be ready within a day. As I was in a bit of hurry to send application, I chose to use my HDFC CC instead and went ahead. CC charged (keep an eye on CC international usage limit though) and PER received.

Thanks a lot amit! I'll immediately reach out to Thomas Cook - I don't want to trust my HDFC or my bank of america card for international swipe. Appreciate your quick response! +1 sir

Quickest Option I heard is Thomas Cook. Check with them.

Hi Seniors,

I'm 28th May application. After a long wait.

Today we got sms from our bank saying ur Trxn at CITIZENSHIP & IMM FS on Sep 16th was declined as you exceeded international usage limit on ur Cr .Card.

After that i Checked in Bank and understood 50K was only set limit by default for the international transaction though credit limit is 3Lakhs . Now its changed, the international transaction limit to 1.5 Lakhs.

Bit worried about this incident. Pl advise what should be our next action ? Is there possibility for second swiping from Immigration dept.

Hi Bro ... you dont need to worry. CIC makes 3 attempts to charge CC ... you will for sure now get done in the second attempt. Second attempt could be done within 10 working days .... so gotta wait till end of september.... you look all set to go ... THis is a minor hiccup... stay patient and I'm glad you got your intl credit limit revised....

In the MR mail it is mentioned that we need to provide Police clearance from country/state where we have been residing for more than 6 months after the age of 18

In my case i have been stayed in Maharashtra and Haryana. DO i need to provide it for both the states ? Or only the PCC from current state would suffice

Really sorry to hear this !!

But in my opinion, if you were going abroad, you should have been more careful and should have enquired with your bank about the possible upcoming international transaction. In my case, I called the bank 3 times and notified them that I am expecting an international transaction and everything is OK.

Anyways, please immediately send email/fax to CIC explaining the situation and give a try.

Just now came to know our card was attempted 3 times ...........12th,15th & 16th...Currently we are in abroad and our phone was kept in India(Parents were keeping the mobile..They could not read the SMS )


Reason for decline international credit limit.(HDFC bank ) .... We have corrected the issue now.

Is there chance for another try ?? How do we contact CIC ??Pl share the email and phone nos .

All our efforts went waste.
