Dont know but its really frustating,How can cic be so slow in reviewing applications!I mean still May is going,and lot of people still not charged.I applied in july last week around 21st,looks its going to take ages for them to review.
My main worry is tht i am scared that my application might get rejected coz i filled in payment form incorrect,as on the blank of payee i wrote my name,whearas it was made from my mother account.It was a DD ofcourse,rest all was correct.
Second i put the self address lable in envelope of photograph,dont know whether this xan be a problem for those guys...coz i think i forgot to mention on envelope photos n self address
Do u guys think this could be reason of rejection,or it just ur destiny which is gonna play role,coz i have observed many people doing blunder yet thy geting through!!!!

First think you need to do is relax!! As long as the payment is honored, dont see any issue with the DD. And please dont disrespect the guys working CIC suspecting that they will not even open your pack properly and look for envelops and photos. You have rested your future in their hands to judge your case, but do not want to trust them with checking your pack completely??

Please be a bit more patient and your turn will come. Till then, if this waiting is too much, divert your concentration onto something else.

I think there is no better place than this forum for me to get help...........

My bank has mentioned me that i have 40000 withdrawal limit and 100000 rs as POS Transaction
limit on my debit card.

I need to pay 1400 cad

is there is enough limit available to do the transaction or there is difference between
POS transaction and international usage limit.....

please advise/..............

You need to check with your bank what your international limit is, the figures you have quoted are for withdraw and for paying at a merchant. Confirm your international limit

Just now came to know our card was attempted 3 times ...........12th,15th & 16th...Currently we are in abroad and our phone was kept in India(Parents were keeping the mobile..They could not read the SMS )


Reason for decline international credit limit.(HDFC bank ) .... We have corrected the issue now.

Is there chance for another try ?? How do we contact CIC ??Pl share the email and phone nos .

All our efforts went waste.

send them email detailing all and try to call them to inform your situation..................

Giving you a genuine answer, they try max 2-3 times which according to you is done. I just wish and hope they try again once, else it's tough to connect to them at this stage to tell them you have corrected the issue.

I was earlier called by Tarun Kumar and later got my name changed to Tarun Kapoor. My passport, work contract, bank account are in the name of Tarun Kapoor however my educational docs says Tarun Kumar. Do I have to send an affidavit to state the change??? I also have the original copies of tge newspaper cutting where this change was published, should I attach them??? My birth certificate does not have my name. It only reflects my father, mother names and the DOB. My tenth certificate includes my dob however has Tarun Kumar on ot

It's my humble request to all the credit card applicants, please please please take a step further and call your bank to increase the international credit limit so you do not have to loose your chance just because of such a silly issue

CIC makes only 3 attempts to charge CC as per what we know.

So in all probability, expect your application to be returned. Tough Luck

International transaction limit was set up by HDFC sometime back and was duly informed by SMS and email to all CC holders.

I don't think you can use debit card to pay CIC. Its either CC or DD.

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here. I have been a silent reader of this forum since FSW 2013 before this thread was created. (Please check the SS before saying update your details) I have a small query, my file reached CIO Sydney on 22 May 2014. My card was charged on 10 Sep and got PER on 12th Sept.

My questions are:

1. I am planning to change my job soon and my PER mail says I must notify them of employment changes. However , I dont know how I should notify them and unsure if this will affect my application.
2. I have the 1st line updated on ECAS, any pointers on when the 2nd line will appear? Is it hen the file will be transferred to the VO or is it after it reaches VO and they start processing it?

1. Why do you think it will affect your application. your case was judged on the pass experience and not on future employment. However, as suggested by them please inform them when your case gets transferred to your LVO.
2. Second Line could take anywhere between 20-50 days, based on your luck.

Guys good news to share with you all ;D....

I am 30th May applicant under NOC 2171....Today morning i received a message "A charge of CAD 1100 has been initiated on your CC"...

Its all because of your best wishes and the efforts put by the mentors on this forum. Hats off to you guys who are doing really a great job ;D...

Wishing all the best to all the applicants, and may soon all guys have good news and finally get their PRs ;D....Thanks a lot ;D


Also i would like to know from all the senior members that, does CC charge means that my duties mentioned, matched the NOC category i have applied? Or is it that it is still to be evaluated?
As i was bit worried about the roles and responsibilities mentioned in the reference letter.
