Hi All

Please anyone can explain me terms as i am new to this forum-

1. CC/DD : Credit Card/ Demand Draft
2. PER: positive Eligibility Review. After charging CIO intensively check application. If someone pass this test, then s/he receive PER mail.
3. AOR: Acknowledgement of Receipt. Once VO receive file from CIO, then some VO send mail to application about receiving of files.
4. PASS: Possibly passport
5. COPR : When an immigrant is approved for permanent residence in Canada, they receive a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document

Status Update: Got MR request from NDVO yesterday ;D ;D

7th May Applicant

@ Others who have already received MR: I got one request letter in my name. Is this normal or you receive separate letter in name of your spouse too? Since the PCC, Medical etc. is to be done for everyone, I was expecting multiple request letters or all names in one letter. Please confirm.

@ Admin: Will update the SS in about 6-7 hours as I am in office at the moment.

:-[ Dear Seniors, I am a 14th May applicant. NOC 1123. Till date my CC has not been charged nor I have received any communication from CIC. I had applied in 2013 also and there is no update against my UCI number.

I am doubting that CIC has rejected my application.

Is there any method to know the status of the application. I have also written a mail to "CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry@cic.gc.ca" but have not received any reply.

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for the 2171 NOC. The NOC Job responsibilities are as follows:
• Information systems business analysts and consultants confer with clients to identify and document requirements, conduct business and technical studies, design, develop, integrate and implement information systems business solutions, and provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.
• Systems security analysts confer with clients to identify and document requirements, assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, and develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches.
• Information systems quality assurance analysts develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products and information systems.
• Systems auditors conduct independent third-party reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products and information systems.

My questions are:
1. I have experience of over 4 years in item #2 and some experience in #4. Do the CIC look for someone with experience in all 4 bullet points?
2. My prior experience (2 years) is in software development (which aligns more to 2174/2173). But can I claim it for 2171 - and see if it sticks with them?

For question 2, I am not worried about points, I am comfortable at 80 points, but just in case they determine eligibility based upon quality of profile, then I don't want to lose my chance only because I didn't write code 2171 for prior experience.

Please advise. Thank you in advance!

4 points mention 4 different job responsibilities. You need to match atleast one and elaborate more on your job responsibilities and match them to what is mentioned to the corresponding role and responsibility. These are different designations and roles and they all fall under this noc code. Hope it is clear.

Make 2171 as your primary occupation and you can claim points for your experience in 2173/74 as well provided you are able to give reference letters.

Thanks GUR2010. I did not receive AOR. However, based on my PM discussions with few silent forumites who got MR, my observation is that you should watch out for second line in ECAS. For NDVO - MR request usually follows within 2-3 days of second line in ECAS. For a broader trend, MR sequence seems to be largely following CC charge sequence.
