is LOR require for Dependent too? or joining letter, Relieving & Exp letter are enough for proof?

work exp letter is only required for principal applicant. Check document checklist for what details are required on the letter.

usually it should be on company letter, signed if not stamped, duties mentioned (should match NOC job duties at least some if not 100%), full time or part time, salary, period you worked, company address and contact details.

usually 3 months but If I were you, I would go for at least 6 months to show fund stability. you can show Canadian equivalent in domestic currency but please ask Balance certificate as well from bank in which you can ask bank to mention local currency as well as equivalent CAD.

Thank you. So even if family is in India and I am in USA, I can apply for CPC-Ottawa ? I was thinking to apply for family too, so in that case, can I have it applied for CPC-Ottawa ? Pls advise.

Your case is unique. Even I am in USA and my local VO will be CPP Ottawa but my wife is here. You can put your local VO as CPP Ottawa only as you the principal applicant resides in USA. but I would still check with some of the agents or immigration lawyers just to be sure. Also, post your query in FSW 2013 forum also and see if anyone has gone through similar situation last year.

Hello to all and Good luck with this new programm.

I have a question and I hope that some of the experienced members will answer me and help me.

Last year I have applied under the FSWP but didn't entered in the required cap of 300 applicants per profession. I have applied under the NOC 0211 Engineering managers and this year this NOC is not available but my current job position is very similar for the NOC 0911 which is available for applying. Infact 0211 and 0911 are very similar NOC's which requires similar duties and same employment requirements.

So can anybody tell me will I have some problems if this year I apply with NOC 0911 or no?

Definitely not brother. Go ahead and apply. It may very well happen that our job duties may fall under many NOCs and lots of applicants feel the same way. Even company's CEO can wear a hat of CFO if he has finance background. CIC knows this thats why they keep many job title under one NOC. You are clear to go.

My degree was assessed by ICAS as a Master degree. I intend to apply under "Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174)" category. Any one has an idea how many points I get for this?

In the CIC website they mentioned that
" Degree program must be in one of these fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy."
Does that mean I wont get 23 point since my degree is not in one of these fields ???

You did not mention what was the evaluation from ICAS about your masters to its Canadian equivalent? did you finish your masters from Canada? Generally masters will get you 23 points but it depends if bachelors + Masters were 4+2 or 3+2.

Friends, I've got an urgent question. Please help! I habe three years of experience as programmer 2174 and four years as IT consultant 2171. Now I want to apply for 2171. Will my experience as 2174 be counted as valid for adding points?

They will only count the exp of NOC that you select and claim to fall under. I doubt that they will count 2174 exp if you apply under 2171. I would read the guidelines.

I can be wrong so seniors please advise.

Help me out here pls.

I worked as a part timer which is relevant to my NOC code during my post graduation and also under graduation.
Can we count it as an experience as well?

Many suggested that it can be include that experience as well but will be considered as a pat time i.e., 2 years of part time as 1 year full time experience and 4 years of under graduation will be considered as 2 years of full time experience...

Can anyone express views on this? How far is this scenario true ?

Statements define period from past to current. Balance certificate will mention since when you are customer of that bank and how much balance you have as of that day.

Hi to all

I'm a registered nurse from the Philippines. My problem is that the WES ECA assessment for my 4 year bachelor's degree in nursing is only equivalent to "2 year post secondary diploma/ nursing assisstant (equivalent to LPN in canada)" in canada. Canada requires bachelors degree for RN's. I checked the License Practical Nurse (LPN) requirement and it only require "two year nursing diploma". Unfortunately I only have work experience as a staff nurse (here in the philippines its an RN position) , but technically, the job description of LPN are all covered under my RN position. Can I put the NOC of LPN and put the staff nurse as my occupation? Is this dangerous? because I'm a registered nurse here in Philippines and I'm applying under LPN.
