A new week begins with a lot of anticipation among the 3rd week applicants including me :P

May god bless us all with good news. :) :)

Bear in mind it's 1:51am in Nova Scotia so it will be so few hours till it's a working Monday for CIO

Hey SPICY,
today is last day for Ganesha, as i said you will probably get PER before this day,
technically, CIC/Canada are behind in hours, so by that time, "8sep" is over in Canada, it will be "9sep" in India....so you will get PER before end of Ganesha, :P

Here you go Mate!!!

LOL i'm so old now :P :P :P

I received my WES report last Saturday and I am preparing my application to be sent this week. I have a few questions on the application -

1. Is there any place where we have to explicitly show our points calculation or do we just have to fill Schedule 3 and CIC will do the calculation themselves? Obviously, I have done the calculation and I qualify that is why I am applying :) but I don't see where to put it.

2. In Schedule 3, what answer should I put for - is your spouse proficient in English, provide evidence. The answer is yes, but there is no evidence as he has not taken IELTS and we are not claiming points for that. I think marking yes and providing a cover letter should be good enough. Suggestions?

3. For people applying from UAE, which is the best courier service. There is no UPS or Fedex here and everyone is against DHL!!

4. In generic form, what should be the response for 4.Immigration Office requested for processing the application? I believe this is where we pick the VO. This is not a mandatory field so I am just thinking if I should select between LVO or NDVO or just leave it blank. Suggestions?

Thank you and good luck for the entire process.

Same here Oscar. ;) I too hope they will not commit such a big mistake. Else my Canada dream will turn into a nightmare.

I had kept high expectations from these guys as I myself have an eye for detail. :P :P

I was particularly miffed when these guys insisted that Halifax was the central hub from where PR files are further sent to Sydney. I had to prove to them that delivery for the tracking no was actually done to Dalhousie Univ after which they started checking. This really put me off.

Just my two cents. When you send documents to a University in Canada, the courier charges are half of the regular price. They might have routed your package through Dalhousie University to save some bucks!

As we know that the financial analyst category (1112) seems to have reached its cap. If I apply in Financial Manager category (0111) based on one year of experience. I will have to claim points for rest one year as Financial Analyst Manager. Please advise would they grant me points for that if my duties as financial analyst manager were overlapping between analyst manager and finance manager but the appointment letter says designation as Financial analyst manager.
Thanks
You will get points for the experience in other NOC also provided you get a reference letter from employer which matches with duties to the extent of 60 percent at least

Again plz

If your documents are not in English or French, send notarized (certified) translation with a copy of original version.
Please refer 3rd para of first page.

Hi Seniors, need some advise as little worried. Mine original birth ceritificate was in punjabi and didnt had my name on it as at that time my parents didnt registered the name.

So i sent the notary english transalation of the original birth certificate along with the copy of original BC, also affidavit from my father certifying that I am his son born on particular date along with my father's passport copy and also my tenth certifictae having DOB but no parents name, so just want to confirm will this suffice or there can be any issue?

Thanks.

It should be OK as me too attached copy of BC (in Punjabi) along with notarized translation plus my matric certificate proving DOB. FYI, I have already received the PER.

Hope it helps.

Regards

Hi,

1) there is no option in form to show the self calculations point
2) If you tick yes for Spouse, you have to submit the evidence like IELTS score, cover letter will not work.
3) There is a UPS service in UAE and i have used it to send my application and they deliver it in couple of days
4) Mention either of the VO's NVDO or LVO. Don't leave it blank.

Even My pack was returned last year due to Cap limit.. I had got a letter by post along with my returned app stating the "Cap limit" as the reason. but i did not get any UCI number... Any idea??

Please check Generic Application Form (first page) in your last year's returned application. In my returned form (due to cap last year), UCI number was written by hand in red ink.
