University professors and lecturers teach courses to undergraduate and graduate students and conduct research at universities. University professors who are heads of departments are included in this unit group.

I have a serious doubt:

I have worked as a Assistant Professor in India at a College which is affiliated to state university. Am I eligible to apply under 4011? As some agents are telling me that as I m not an University Lecturer, I am not eligible to apply.

Plz advise.

Yes you may be eligible I guess. Read through here. i am not sure what are your roles and responsibilities.

Nope if you already sent the application and not included your Wife's results then you will not get points for that.

Hi,

I am ready with my IELTS score but still waiting for my WES evaluation and it should be completed in less than 2 days. While I am calculating my points, I am getting exactly 67 points, so not sure if I can apply or not. Below is the detailed calculation of my score:

Language - 20 Points
IELTS Score:
Speaking - 7
Listening - 6.5
Reading - 6.5
Writing - 6.5

Experience: 4 Years and 8 Months - 13 Points

Age: 29 Years - 12 Points

Education: 22 or 21 Points
Bachelor of Commerce
Master of Computer Applications

Even though I have a Master's Degree, I don't think I will be getting 23 Points since as per CIC the following are the conditions for Masters Degree:

University degree at the Master’s level or equal
OR University level entry-to-practice professional degree (or equal). Occupation related to the degree must be:
NOC 2011 Skill Level A, and licensed by a provincial regulatory body.

Note: Degree program must be in one of these fields of study: Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry, Law, Chiropractic Medicine, or Pharmacy.

I will get 22 Points if I satisfy the below condition:
Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal(at least one must be for a program of at least three years)

But I am applying under NOC 2174 and is related to my Master's Degree but has nothing to do with the Bachelor's Degree. But will my both degrees still count? Will CIC take the Bachelor's Degree as well into consideration while calculating my points even though it is not related to my NOC Code or Job Roles?

If will be getting 67 points only if CIC considers my two degrees.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey everyone,

There were requests to add sheets with statistics to the spreadsheet. "Apps by NOC", "NOC chart" and "Apps by Visa Office" sheets have been added :)

I'm planning to apply for canada PR. I'm planning to write IETLS exam on may17.Is it too late if i submit my application after i get the results ?
I'm in US and have 11 years experience as Software Developer.
Can one apply under multiple occupations ?
When do you think the limit will reach for IT occupations?

Thanks a lot guys!!

If you get 67 points then you are good to go. Not a problem!

Nope. They only count recent experience. If you can make your current one as 2173 then you are good to go :D
But as you have recent experience in 2174, you can apply in that only.

Just wanted to seek clarification on the statement above (in bold). From the CIC site, it states:

You must have one year of continuous, full-time (or an equal amount of part-time) paid work experience, in at least one of these occupations within the last ten years:

Not an expert on this but I think that if your experience on NOC 2173 is still within the last 10 years then you can still apply under that NOC.

Seniors, any thoughts?

Well I think you can try at least, because this time it's 1000 applications per NOC. And you can't apply for multiple occupations.

My major concern is will my Bachelor's Degree as well be included even thought it is not related to the NOC Code I am applying? My Master's Degree is related to my NOC Code and Job Roles.

I will get 22 points only if I satisfy the below condition:
Two or more Canadian post-secondary degrees or diplomas or equal(at least one must be for a program of at least three years)

There is no use if I get 21 points which I am sure I will satify:
Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma for a program of three years or longer, or equal

So, will my Master of Computer Applications and my Bachelor of Commerce be considered as two Degrees?

For two years of experience you will get 11 points.

Thanks. Do you mean that I can't get points from my previous 3.5 years of experience in NOC2173 if I would apply under NOC2174 ?

Seniors please need your suggestion

What would be the "To Date" for my Current Occupation & Present Address? (In "Schedule A- Background/Declaration" question # 8 and 12).

Should I leave it blank or give the date of my signing the document?

Write TILL DATE by hand after printing the form
