Dear Seniors...
I have a doubt reagrding the fields "Current occupation" and "Intended occupation" in the Generic appln form IMM0008.
Should we mention the designation "Senior Software engineer", "Lead analyst" etc as in our current company or it indicates the industry which we work for such as "Sofware engineering"
please guide... ???

Current and Intended occupation should be in relation to the NOC title you are applying.

Hi Guys;

Anyone from Delhi; who had sent their application via DHL courier. How many days do they take to deliver at Nova Scotia? I called them and they told me they deliver only till Ontario and from there they have a third party who delivers further instead of DHL? I'm kinda irritated, Anyone any ideas. It's been 5 days now.

A few pages ago someone answered 45 days...

Thank you. Does anyone have a clue if this 45 days for the MR includes sending the results to the CIC or just when you should report to the DMP.

25 days...from Aug 5th to Sep 1st....but yea, I understand your dilemma

nharsh2000 took slightly longer though from Aug 1st to Sep 2nd...so over a month

But both are way fast considering others who are still waiting..i agree

60 days: MR, PCC, & RPRF
30 days/60 Days*: PPR

* Some VO give 60 days time frame for PP submission while some gives 30 days.

Is it ok to apply as civil engineer whereas my educational background is of mechanical engineering but I m performing civil engineer duties..does Cic check that applicant educational background must be related to profession.

Job duties are important and should match the NOC you are applying for. Education is as per what WES reports and is used for accumulating the required 67 points only. However for some duties like Medicine and Nursing etc,will require you to have its respective education background

If you are not currently residing, for a period of 1 year or more, in a country outside your country of citizenship, then you are not eligible to choose the VO assigned to that particular country.

At the moment, you can only choose the VO assigned to India, which is NDVO.
