Hello Friends,

I plan to apply for this FSW program from India. I need the expert's help on the below questions:

1. My current and previous organisation has refused to give me a letter describing the jobs and responsibilities. I think the Indian companies do not issue such a letter. Got to know there is an alternative Affidavit that can be submitted describing the same. Is there any specific format for the same? Or is there any other alternative to this?

2. I was in USA last year and stayed there for more than 6 months. I understand that i need to provide a PCC for India and US both. But the issue is that i currently dont have a PCC for US and for India i will need to first get my passport endorsed (include wife's name) and only then a PCC will be issued. This will also lead to change in my passport Number. All this process will will take time so can i submit the file without PCC and submit it later when they ask me?

1. No brother they do...U can try to have this letter from ur line manager(from ur dept. which is easier sometimes) not from HR...
PPL have collected with letterhead from Indian companies....So try it hard first...Then u can go for Affidavit (last option).

2. Do not wait for PCC/FBI report. First apply then arrange PCC and submiit those on later stage...

this will not affect ur file at all...

This announcement has taken me by surprise, as last year they announced nearly two months in advance that they would be taking new applications. Anyhow, all for the best.

I have all the documents except for experience letter and PCC.

INCOMPLETE PACKAGE
Can I submit an application without some of the documents? If yes, which ones?
And how to send later, as in, won't my application be considered incomplete if I submit everything except say PCC.

EDUCATION
We need to send just one copy of the ECA report (I received two)?
What else to send with ECA : degree certificate or all transcripts as well?

PAYMENT
What method of fees payment is recommended? Credit card or DD?

PCC
In India (Bangalore), the PCC issued by Passport Seva Kendra (the one for which Rs. 500 is charged) is valid?
Someone mentioned PCC can be sent later when local Visa Office asks for it. Any experience / confirmation around this?

I know these are a lot of queries, but I learn a lot from answers to other member's questions, so I hope answers to these will benefit all.

Only PCC can be send later but it might cost you delays of processing.

On payment method, DD is safest. Many applications were rejected last years as CIO unable to charge CC.

I am not Indian but found in some blogs, Passport Seva Kendra's PCC is valid.

Thanks for a quick response. I dont think they will even issue such a letter stating a denial of not being able to issue a letter of reference. SO i think an Affidavid is only an option. Is there any sample Affidavit? Also, regading PCC when i visited Passport Office, i was told to get the passport endorsed first before applying for PCC. They refused to give PCC on basis of marraige certificate. Please help!

Are you sure about pcc? Why the hell do they need spouse name in passport. Do we need to keep updating our passports for useless reasons.. Can u post official URL where it is mentioned. I have my spouse name in my passport but my spouse does not have my name in passport. From which city are u trying to get PCC..i am sure delhi or bangalore..

if my duties match a specific noc category but the position title is not the same. is it ok.?
example
my duties (in the reffernce letter) is matching a operation manager but my position in the refference letter is assistant operation manager.

I have two small doubts.

My graduation is in Mechanical Engg and post graduation is in Management (UK). I am however, seeking to apply on mechanical engg category (NOC 2132) as I have over 2 years of work experience. Also, I am seeking master's (23) points in my application. Do you think I can secure points of my degree even if it is not same as my work experience.

Furthermore, I left my engg job in 2009, and till then I am either studying or doing menial jobs in UK. Do you think this can turn out negative in my case. IF YES, how can I make my case stronger . . . . . . . . .

Please reply me, so that I can put up my application asap.

Do we also attach a covering letter along with the Affidavit explaining reason for not getting roles wriiten on Companie's letter head? Anyone having a sample for both the covering letter and affidavit please help.

It is OK as long as duties are matched.

I am sure about PCC. I am applying it from Chandigarh Passport Seva Office. There is no URL i guess but the lady officer giving file numbers sent me back and asked me to apply for endorsement first. My wife's passport is already endorsed already and she got PCC in just a few days.

This is bad... What if we present marriage certificate. After endorsementhappens on basis of marriage certificate only that too from same passport office
