@ future_canadian

Few days ago, a guy who has 3 year post secondary degree "from non-recognized uni" got his file returned due to "not fulfilling the requirement of completed post secondary education.

So, apparently, an equivalency of a degree from non-recognized uni is as good as not having one.

If he is short of points, shud think of spouse IELTS etc or revaluation from ICAS or UoT

Yes, but if we are thinking of the same case, the WES summary was given as "degree from a non-recognized institution" or similar designation. So this may be a different case.

I completely agree that it is a risk and that the applicant should try to get sufficient points elsewhere.

Applying for PR is not a simple task if you brothers were not there to help me I would have probably gone mad

one of my uni is not recognized by wes, hence after wasting my precious 4 months they replied and sent my package back in 2013 (cap got filled until I was ready to submit in 2013, due to this mistake I lost 1 whole year!).....I gave them a back big SH-IT and opted CES instead. CES evaluated my both degrees and issued equivalencies within 10 business days and got it by 21s day! CES is more approachable and friendlier then WES. I wont recommend anyone to go for WES SHITTT....for Canadian immigration go for CES cos of my following reasons

1. its Canadian institute and hence its evaluated report will have more imp and priority then WES one (I think so).
2. the communication via email is more quick and friendlier then WES one.
3. they are faster then WES cos WES has to give evaluation for people immigrating to other countries as well, CES only issues for Canada
4. its postal service is faster then WES.
5. they have larger support for recognized universities then WES.

Guys,

A quick question if anyone has any insight about this - my wife and I got PPR a few days back. In the email we received, we were asked to include either an XpressPost prepaid envelope (if residing inside Canada) or an XPresspost prepaid mailing label if living in the USA to help CIC return our passports.

I tried to purchase an Xpressport mailer online at canapost.ca, but the only option available is to provide a Canadian billing address for the credit card, which I don't have. Anyone know how to overcome this difficulty?

Good luck to everyone! May your dreams come true!

Are you residing inside Canada?

Hi Guys!

Request your opinion. I have lost my 10th and 12th certificates in a freakish accident recently and have filed for new certificates, yet to receive the same. At the same time, I am unable to procure a birth certificate too as my birth was not registered at that time. Can I use my passport along with PAN card and drivers licence for DOB proof? Or is there any other alternative to this?

This is the only thing pending, else i could send my file tomorrow. Please advise.

Thank you.

The Guide and document checklist explain what are acceptable substitutes for a birth certificate. None of the items you've listed is acceptable. Sorry for your accident but I suggest you wait until you can provide one of the documents on the list.

Good evening

Friends i am collecting documents for FSW1 but after verifying experience documents i came to know that one of the previous
company is now closed down and there is no existence of it.

But fortunately i have salary slips, appointment letter and experience certificate...

So do i need to put any thing else apart from it.

pls reply

You should try to get a personal reference letter from someone you worked with at that company who knew your duties. If you can't get that you can rely on what you have, but you will only get points if your experience certificate lists the duties that match the NOC you list for that job.

Friends can I show my fathers voter card and my uncles Indian voter who is a citizen of canada as a proof to take 5 points?

Better show that he's a citizen of Canada and how you are related to him (how he and your father are related).
