In one of the forms you are asked to list your occupations within the last 10 preceding years and to include their NOC. Should you mention the ones that have nothing to do with the federal skilled worker NOCs as well? Or only the ones related to the NOCs they are accepting?

For example should I mention being a material analyst if that is not in the list of admission for this year?
You should mention all occupations either it is in that 50 jobs or not.

In the economic class form they tell you question 12 A - they tell you identify the primary occupation and corresponding NOC. Should I write the name of my occupation or the name of the occupation as it is presented in the NOC? My occupation name is Logistics Coordinator, but I am applying for purchasing manager.

I c. The guide tells you to only include occupations that fall under skill type 0, level A or B of the list. Which ones are those? I only see skill level 1 - 2 - 3 etc

Don't be too surprised when you find out that a May 20th applicant is getting his/her application reviewed. Here's how I think CIO operates. They have dedicated officers who handle one or more NOCs. For example, there could be a few officers who just review NOC 2174 or related occupations such as NOC 2173, NOC 2171, etc. I think the reason why the mechanical engineering applicant who submitted his application on the 20th of May is getting his application reviewed compared to a NOC 2174s whose applications are in the first week of processing is because the low volume of applicants in the mechanical engineering category.

Hence, I anticipate an applicant in the petroleum engineering category who, for example, submitted his application on the 20th of July will get his/her application reviewed fairly quickly.
Surely if that was true then FSW2 applicants would be processed sooner as there no NOC's may not even be on the list of 50. I think the logic you point to is flawed

It seems that both my spouse and I are required to fill the additional family information form. When she does it, under applicant, should she put her name and I would be the spouse or does she do it the same way I did it (myself as applicant)? I am the main applicant btw.

I'm a May 30 applicant. When is the best time to ask for an update? Is it within the time of PERs of other May 30 applicants too?

Brother write the NOC code for which you are claiming point.

0 stands for managerial occupation
A stands for professional occupation
B stands for technical occupation

A few questions:

1 - It seems that both my spouse and I are required to fill the additional family information form. When she does it, under applicant, should she put her name and I would be the spouse or does she do it the same way I did it (myself as applicant)? I am the main applicant btw.

2 - In the economic class form they tell you question 12 A - they tell you identify the primary occupation and corresponding NOC. Should I write the name of my occupation or the name of the occupation as it is presented in the NOC? My occupation name is Logistics Coordinator, but I am applying for purchasing manager.

3 - There are a number of forms that I don't think I have anything to fill in: for example use of representative and separation and statutory declaration. Should I just forget about them and not even put them in my application?

Dear Experts,

Just wanted an opinion from your all to know if the below will be considered under NOC 2281. This is what my employer has mentioned in the reference letter. I understand this is a bit technical and that's the reason that I want you all to comment from layman's point of view.

o Responsible for the implementation of desktop and server platforms, printers and other core technologies essential to the company's core infrastructure and businesses
o Provide a 7/24 support “After Hours – On Call” pager support and participate in 7/24 work arrangements as required to support activities (including technology implementation/testing/upgrades required on off hours or weekends)
o Troubleshoot, resolve/escalate technical problems within a timely manner
o Troubleshoot and provide technical support for Lenovo/IBM laptops, desktop, local and network multifunctional printers
o Provided end-user technical support for terminal server environment for both SSL and IPSEC VPN
o Take data backups on regular basis
o Provided technical support for broad range of in house\enterprise wide applications including but not limited to IBM Mainframe, IBM Series (AS/400), Citrix, Internet\Web browser, Tivoli Remote Control applications
o Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues including LAN/WAN, VOIP, Wireless and Mobile networks, Cisco IPT Telephones, Blackberry devices
o Provided password reset support using Net IQ Administration (DRA), RSA Ace Server, Host, Citrix, SQL, with other tools and applications
o Managed help desk trouble ticket volumes, track and document customer calls by using Ticketing system
o Provide & control web & e-mail access to users according to company policies
o Train newly hired Technical Analysts and mentor/train peers and others
o Participated in Business Continuity Plan activities when/as requested

After getting a couple of reviews on above, I am now confused. I can get another letter from my employer to explain duties in more details that may refer to NOC 2281 in particular.

The thing is, I have already submitted application. Sending another application will create problem I believe at this stage. Also, if I see NOC 2281, I have many duties matching, and also some are additional duties that match with support technician NOC 2282 as well.

Just confused what to do...

Dear Oscar / Future / Other seniors... Please help... Have posted this question earlier as well but didn't get expected replies...

Hi Seniors,

I'm new to this forum.

I'm 5-Aug-14 applicant and I'm the principal applicant.

My wife will not be accompanying me to Canada.

I did not submit my PCC when I applied. But now I have it.

In case I get a PER, do I need to submit my wife's PCC also?

Thanks in advance.
