I think , both the countries are promising , one of my friend recently migrated from Canada to Australia reason being Weather not suited for his toddler.

Sorry but I think they recently made changes to Citizenship rules. It like Immigrant has to stay in Canada for 4 years out of 6. This change will take place in 1 year. Before it was to stay 3 years out of 4 years to get eligible for Citizenship.

yaa...means more difficult for us to get citizenship...if we get PR now...i think in Australia , this is still 4 years. after years you will have Aussie passport that allows to roam around world (Most countries) Visa free. and health conditions are better there.Overall seems more better if we see OCED index.

Canada is far more better place of living when racisim and violence are taken into account. Being it's proximity to US, Canada is unparallel to Australia in way of living. People in Canada are very inviting and give respect to people of all races, unlike Australia.

Lot of people enjoy, Canada's winters.. And winters infact are very beautiful, and people from tropical countries will simply love them....

It usually asks for bank statement later if you don't provide them initially. When they do, it would usually be for 6 months.

There should have been your name in the applicant field. What CIC does in this situation isn't clear yet. I hope there is no penalty in this case as a lot of people have confusion about this form.

Like everything else in life and in this world, there are pros and cons associated with canada and australia as well. Some other boarder said the right thing that we dont want to compare all of that in this forum.

Speaking about canada alone though, I just dont ever understand one thing:
In each of the factors that qualify you under FSW program, why do they have such a low and always accomodating criteria. 1 year of experience in last 10 years, very basic level of education, easy to achieve ielts band criteria, accomodating age criteria.

With that criteria I see 50% or higher working population of India qualifying. IS THIS REALLY SKILLED PROGRAM CATEGORY THEN?

The other day Chris was in delhi and when Media asked which professions are in demand, he talks about carpenter and plumber. The media guy then asked sircasticly - what about engineers and other skilled professionals?

Lets be honest. We all get it why they are so accomodating to beginners or junior professionals from all the countries. Those beginners will still find 50k salary very attractive, they wont complain or leave, and they would get jobs more easily then really skilled and experienced professionals. The only thing is they dont want to say this out loud and clear, but is something we all should know and learn from peoples experienced who moved to canada. They is no denial that finding good paying job or in general job prospects in canada are challenging. PERIOD

Guys i need to understand the procedure of Proof of funds. Do we need to declare funds 3 or 6 months before filling the application. Or we can put the required amount straight away into the account before the application.

An applicant applied for immigration and submitted the documents with CIC. She also got the PER and her application is now in process. If for some reasons surname of that female (basic applicant) changed (Due to either marriage or divorce), how it will impact the application process and what documentation will be required with name change?

Impact on the process of application is not massive other than DELAY.

Your friend needs to update about the change in name to the local VO responsible for her nationality.

The settlement funds must genuinely belong to you. DO NOT borrow .

At the time of application only bank certificate would suffice , but be prepared to provide statements for periods anywhere between 3-12 months, as requested later by your local VO.
