I am also ex citibanker and facing difficulty in getting refrence letter. Can you be a help to me. Please advice how did you manage to get refrence letter for youself.

Hey,

They have a policy of not issuing letters to ex employees on letter heads.
You can get a reference letter from any senior still working there.

1. Ask for a mail mentioning they can not issue letters to ex employees.
2. Get a reference letter from present senior citibanker joined before you, requisites of the letter :
- visiting card of the senior
- letter should mention total tenure served in which position including date of joining & last day.
- should have all the roles & responsibilities
- should also have senior's designation, date of joining & signatures.
- no e-mail & scan letter

Rest , i'm sure you will be having your joining letter, relieving/ experience certificate, pay slips & promotion letters

If you want the format of the reference letter i can email it to you

For case specific query, you need to e-mail at CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca . Mention your full name and date of birth.

For getting UCI:
 Procedure to get CIC agent on phone
 Call at – 0016139444000
 Select 1 for English
 Then 1 for foreign affair
 2 for immigration
 Call is being transferred to CIC
 Then 1 for English
 2 for status
 1 for PR
 When it asks you to enter UCI number just be on hold n let it say it 3 times then the call is automatically transferred to an agent
 Agent will ask information about last name, first name, date of birth, application received date, email id etc.

After getting UCI
 Call to CIC number and follow the IVR (112-121). In last IVR system ask you to enter your UCI
 Once you enter your UCI,
 If system directs you directly to agent without any announcement it's means your payment is not Encashed yet
 If after entering your UCI, you listen the announcement like " your application has received on xxx day" it's means you have been charged now wait for the PER

does anyone know when was this form updated? Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] (PDF, 456 KB) June 2014 coz I sent my documents last June 1 but I used the previous one which was dated March 2014. Am I going to have a problem with my application because of this?

I am confused with the work experience points since I claimed 15 points against more than seven yrs. of experience on three episodes within the past ten yrs.

1) 2004/12 to 2006/09(B)
2)2006/10 to 2010/03(A)
3)2012/04 to present (A)

As per economic form, I need to tick less than 2, 3 and 4 yrs since I don't have continuous experience but in reality I have more than seven yrs. of experience in total under NOC 3012. Do I get maximum experience points on the basis of the information above?

Alternatively, I have more than five yrs. experience in A organization within two episodes with similar title and job description but lacking job description letter for the experience from 2006/10 to 2010/03 except I submitted job description letter for the period of 2012/04 to present date. However, I have also provided job description in the annex. Do I need to submit separate job description letter for all jobs even worked at same organization having similar title and responsibilities?

My earlier post on the CC subject... even I checked with my bank today if there were any failed transactions :-X.... none informed. That means CIC has not tried my 8th May application . Wonder what is going on

Yes ... do it now itself, many forum members got declined message from cc company bcos of international usage is not enabled or low international limit..

credit card limit is different from international usage limit ...... so check your bank for the same....

For folks from India who have opted to pay via CC, please note the following

Recently the RBI made it mandatory for banks to
1. allow their customers to disable / enable international spends on credit / debit card i.e. all transactions which are not in Rupees
2. allow their customers to set a limit for international usage (e.g. if total credit card limit is Rs. 300000, one can set a limit for international usage from 0 to 300000)
(these measures were primarily to prevent / minimize fraudulent transactions).

So please ensure that you
a) enable international usage and
b) set a upper limit so that the application fees can be easily debited.

This can be done either by (i) logging on to netbanking (most banks should have this facility to enable / disable and set the limit) or (ii) calling customer call center and getting this done

Also OTP is not required; dont worry about it.

Hi it means your DD has been encashed and you are now in the PER waiting list.

Here have a look I hope to put all stages up to Visa Issuance on it .. just gathering info

Change in Visa Office

Hi Guys,

CC charged a few hours ago 8TH MAY App for 1112.
So I have a situation, been in US for over 6 months now, but when I applied in May I had less than 6 mnths in US and so mentioned VO as New Delhi. Now, we have the employment authorization or eligibilty to work US for another year. Should my VO be Ottawa? And if so, should I send CIC an intimation that my VO needs to be changed? I dont have an email from CIC so dont have the UID number. How should I go about it
