How many years did you then write for number of years of education asked in IM0008 ? was it 16 or 17?

Also, ECA report indicates 10 and 12 collectively as secondary school diploma hence I am unsure if it is post secondary.

Thanks

17 Years, and If I count 2 Years of masters then it becomes 19...

I think its in Canada they called it as post secondary. But as per knowledge in India 11th and 12th is called HSC (Higher Secondary) which I think is equivalent to post secondary...

And immigration requires ECA report only for bachelors and masters degree..

Correct me if I am wrong...

Guys,

Just got an email from cic for the PCC and medical request. I have couple of questions:

1. I have received my PCC from Indian consulate, but still waiting for clearance from USA. As per the email, I have to submit all these documents with in 60 days. In case, I do not receive PCC from USA in the given time frame, can I send remaining documents and send the pcc from US later?

2. They have asked me to pay RPRF fee for me and my wife only. But they have excluded by 18 months old child who is a US citizen, is that normal?

3. One basic question, now that I have received this email, does that mean they have evaluated my application and verified all the documents? In short, based on my application evaluation, I will receive PR?

in india if you have completed masters and have done 3 years graduation .. the number of studies would be 17 ...just count the years from Class - 1 :)

as far as ECA is concerned you can submit yr bachelors and masters transcripts .... additionally you can send the photocopies of 10 & 10 +2 certificates as it wont be bothering you .... its good to give more but not less at all :)

i had sent my 10 , +2 marksheet and pass certificate copies to WES along with the Transcripts of Graduation and PG for ECA to WES

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member here. This is a really useful forum. Thanks everyone for the the wealth of information here.

I've just sent my application on 10th July for NOC Code 1112.

I had one quick question: the number of received application is 116 on the CIC website for NOC code 1112. At what stage will applications start counting towards this number. Is it after the first level check of completeness of after the PER.

The reason I ask is that, as of 12th July, the spreadsheet shows only 12 cases of PER received from this NOC Code while the CIC number is 116. Does that mean that number of 1112 applications in the spreadsheet is about 10% of the total universe.

No problem at all, only total processing time will increase by 3 months. As soon as you AOR from NDVO inform them about your current status. They will decide whether to transfer your file or process locally.
Cheers
+1 for you.
Are you sure about this ? Any reference from where you got this information ?
Does not it depend upon processing time of new visa office if my file get transferred ?
Thanks again.

Yes but what if you get a repeated year and you complete a 3 year bachelors course in 5 years? Do you mention only the duration of the course or the time you took to complete the course?
As the instruction states for IMM5669E "Give the number of years for school you successfully completed for each of the following years of education
One way to interpret this would be to mention the time you actually took to complete a course.

Also, ECA counts 2 years diploma plus 3 years degree as a Canadian equivalent of 4 year bachelor degree
So if only years of course are to be counted will school(10)+college(2)+diploma(2)+degree(3) count as 16 or 17 years of education for Im0008?

Thanks ak1 for your reply. But I have seen in spreadsheet that someone got their CC/DD charged though their application reached after mine. Confused ! :o

@Asmia:
You are Welcome. Out of total 33 applicants of 8th MAY DD , only one applicant has reported his DD charged on 24th June which is too early whereas even the 8th May CC's started getting charged from last week. Even his application reached at 11:59 am of 8th May, whereas mine reached at 9:41 am . So it seems to be a random pick. Anyways, hope for the best in a week or two

CIC will only update status on ECAS once the application is deemed to be complete and accepted which only gets done once they receive or are able to charge the applicable fees. From my experience of the 2013 forum a good number of applications were returned owing to authorisation failure of CCs. None of them reported of being able to check status on ECAS.
I myself was able to check the status of my application on Friday 4th of July as in progress and application received for permanent residence on 7th may. I called my bank on Tuesday morning I.e. 8th July and they confirmed that the DD has been encashed on 4th July hence I elieve you have no reason to worry.

Congratulations and welcome to club.

+1 for sharing your experience....
