For age you will get the relevant points for 35, provided your application reaches CIO before your 36th birth date. So you should get maximum points, i.e. 12. Refer below link, in case of confusion. All the best!

Dears,

I have applied as FSW (application reached 7th MAY 2014, still waiting for CIC response) I have a few questions on points calculations:

1. EXPERIENCE: my experience is more than 10 years , but expereince letter i sent were having only my designation, work duration and salary. Job description is not included. Will it effect?

2. IELTS: overall my IELTS score is 7.5 in all 4 categories, i calculated 6+6+6+5=23 as language points , is it corrent way ?

3. My age now is 35 and I will turn to 36 in coming November , what age score I will get , can I get max. points 12 ?, technically speaking I am in 36th year of age but crossed 35 years (born 1978 NOV ) .. confusing right?

4. My degree is bachelors in engineering (4 years) what score I will get 23 or 22 ?

please reply as i am nervous, tense and stressed.

Anil, take a break and relax. There are still plenty of May 7th applications not processed yet, the poor guys at CIC must be looking at a HUGE pile of envelopes. I guess it will be another 2 or 3 weeks for them to move onto May 8th.

But I just did a rough estimate on the Spreadsheet and it turns out there a

total 160 people(including me ;D ) waiting for CC/DD charge .

My app reached on 7th.

getting really tensed now and cant do anything about it but wait.

I am applying for the Purchasing manager NOC position and this caught my attention in the NOC description:

"The designation Supply Chain Management Professional (S.C.M.P.) or registration in the educational program of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada may be required."

Do I need to have that in order to apply?

Daniel, you don't need any of these to apply. But you should look into this to be prepared for when you land in Canada. Some professions are regulated by associations, and you need to check the requirements for the province you plan to settle in.

The Generic Application for Canada [IMM0008] has changed. It is dated July 2014. I suppose now if your application will reach July you should be using that form.

Could other members comment on this

[size=10pt][size=10pt][size=10pt]APPLICANTS NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF THE "GENERIC" FORMED THAT WAS UPLOADED YESTERDAY.
1.I stand to be corrected but I want to believe the upload was a mistake on the part of CIC.
2.The document was supposed to be uploaded in July,2014 ...this can be attested to by the date on the footer page.
3.The document has been changed back to the former one of March,2014

I was discussing this issue with some fellow applicants and I insisted CIC made a mistake of uploading a document meant to be used in July,2014 yesterday which is/was why if you are the curious type like me,you will noticed that the "PRINT" property of the document is/was locked from the public.
How are candidates meant to print out the form when it has been locked for printing?
if you are also curios like me,you will check the properties of the document and noticed that its still locked from public view...the only activity you can realistically do on it is to fill the form and validate.you can not print it out....so how will your document get to CIC?
To cap it all,if you check the document now,CIC obviously realized their mistake and has reverted it back to the march,2014 version so there is no pressure any longer.

They should hire more people.....then this process itself would create employment there..ha ha...good point for CIC then to show their worthiness, and the importance of foreign skilled immigration, to their bosses...
