This is for all those intending to ship their package to CIC ... If you guys have UPS in your location, use them (These guys are fastest compared to the rest)

Suggest you strictly go to their head office to deliver you package for shipping , you also get the envelope of required dimension from them.
If you call the UPS customer service and book your package before delivering them at the UPS office you also get an additional discount of 15% (Remember, you don't get that discount unless you ask Customer Care for it, and specifically tell them its an Envelope).

They charged me around 2900/- INR and it was delivered in less than 4 days (From Bangalore).

My application was sent out June 9 and has not yet been received at CIO . I Filed under 1123 NOC . My wife is a realtor and is qualified under NOC 0121. We requested for a 2nd copy of both our IELTS and should receive end of next week. We gave copies of Airwaybill number and application checklist showing we sent our original IELTS to CIO and they approved it on this basis and will issue 2nd copy next week . My wife also has WES already . Can she send an application under NOC 0121, this time her as principal applicant and I as spouse ? Our consultant is advising us to wait until there is feedback on my NOC 1123 application before we send out hers. Too risky having a husband then a wife application , our consultant said . My worry is if we wait and do this, cap might be reached on her NOC 0121 by then ! Pls advise .

Hi,

I am planning to apply under NOC 2173 or 2174. Any idea how much should we show the proof of funds in Canadian currency and also should we maintain that much amount in my Bank Account for some time.. say - 6 Months ?

Thanks
Shahid

It doesn't matter whether your bank money is 1 month or 6 month old... Your local VO may ask for an updated bank statement on the later stage...

Hi Fellas,
I can see the few 7th May Applications are started getting en-cashed.
Am I correct when I say that 9th May application would be somewhere around next week?

Most probably because of the high volume of applicant that day alone

Hi, I am also applying under the same NOC. How soon do you think the cap will fill out for this NOC? I haven't even filed my application yet as waiting for IELTS.

Which consultant are you using? Any merit in hiring one?

Hi,

Please advise,

I am applying under NOC 1123 for which I have a total experience of 3yrs 11months.
I also have 1yr 4 months experience in NOC 6235 under skill category B.

Can I combine both for calculating my experience points or will i only be awarded points for the primary NOC experience i.e Noc 1123??

Kindly help.

You will receive points for 5years 3 months provided that you gave detail job descriptions.

Hi. That's the thing with consultants , they seem to be too relaxed in checking documents. It takes them 2-3 weeks ! They did this with me in 2011 when I filed under NOC 1122. Showed them the thread on how cap was being filled up and they said don't panic. In the end, I had to pull out and send on my own since they fastest time they can release checking of my docs was 2 weeks. Got to send out mine , in 3 days after pull out from consultant , and yet got cap reached . This time around , only hired them to look at my documents but still did the actual sending myself . If i let them handle all, they will take another 2-3 weeks .

You and your wife can submit as many applications as you like provided that each are separate and payment is done. You don't need to wait for any result. It is perfectly safe.

FAQ on Multiple Application by CIC:

If I have a year of work experience in more than one eligible federal skilled worker job, can I apply more than once?

Yes. You can apply as many times as you like, under the same immigration program or different programs. But, you must pay a separate application fee each time. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=864&t=6

Can I withdraw my federal skilled worker application?

Yes. Contact your local visa office to withdraw your application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=108&t=6

If I withdraw my federal skilled worker application, can I get my money back?

It depends. Your fee will be refunded if the office has not begun processing your application. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=109&t=6

Current trend shows that 6th may applicants were charged more than a week.
7th may applicants might take 2 weeks time to be completed. So go for 3 weeks time for 8th and 4 weeks time for 9th may applicants.

The amount of applications received on 7th may is huge and will surely take at least 2 weeks. We started hearing news of CC charges mainly yesterday only.
