I had few queries related to Visa office selection,getting documents attested and PCC -

• I believe as I am from India, I should be able to select Visa office as New Delhi. I have been here in Singapore since last two years.
• Second point is - Do we need to send the attested copies of all the documents or just the photocopies of all docs would do...as in Singapore, getting a affidavit or attesting each doc would cost a lot.
• Also, I checked with Indian Embassy here, they need request letter from concerned High Commission for getting the PCC clearance. Same is the case with Singapore PCC. Should I just have a letter in my documents saying PCC will be issued by the high commission on request. I suppose that should not create any problems.

Hey congrats. I also applied in 2173 . reached at same time as yours. My cc is not charged yet. Which carrier did you use to send. I sent via ups and my package was delivered at 10.19 am on 7th may. At what exact time did you recieve sms for cc charge?

I really can't beleive this. It is always happening since the first CC charge. Newbee (most of the cases in his/her first post) comes up and reports CC charged news but Hero members turn comes quite late. Really hard to beleive.

And on cross questioning, goes back to the shell and never report back. Really not helping anyone.

Hi All,

Finally I have sent the documents to CIC on 6th June. Documents are delivered to Sydney, NS on 11th June, signed by D.MACCURAY. I have applied under NOC 2173. I just wish I am not too late in sending the documents. Mode of paymnet is DD issued by HDFC.

Few things I want to mention for the ppl who are still gathering the documents -
1) In India though RBI has set the validity for DD to 3 months but for international DD, as they don't have expiry date, the validity is still 6 months. HDFC bank took 1 day to confirm this.

2) We( My spouse and I), don't have birth certificates, so we got "No Found Certificate" from Local Municipal council, as that was in our native language "punjabi", so got them translated, notarized. Also we attached one affidavit stating the same and also we have attached the 10th marksheet as proof of DOB

Though we have made sure zillion times that we haven't missed anything but still worried about cap thing. let's hope Canada dream come true !!!

Your settlement funds are your liquid funds. Assets is your house+car plus liquid funds.

Ha ha brother,

ur thinking are right but just a bit reverse....

Asset will be = Liquid Funds + Fixed property

settlement funds = Liquid Funds only

Firstly , a lot lot lot of thanks to all of u guys , who helped me and others in filing our applications(whatever be the outcome). This space has really helped me and i m sure it has helped others also, and I hope, it will continue to do so in future.

Because of u people, I have filed my application on 5-June and it has been received by DAVID on 11 June.
I am not able to make an entry in spreadsheet .Please guide me how to do so(I am using mobile).

I have applied for FSW under category "Computer programmers and interactive media developers (2174)" on 5th May 2014. But till date I could not get any update on that. what is the time limit to get any response? Did anybody get any response for FSW'2014?

1. Being an Indian Citizen u can alws select New Delhi.......But as u are on SG for more than a yr u have also an option for selecting Singapore (for god sake dont do that!)

2. Its just an optional thing ..Just avoid it since it is costly...

3. No need to worry for PCC...submit a cover letter instead quoting u are submitting ur PCC when it is on ur hand...
