Which is cheep and fast courier service in India? Can any one suggest me which courier service to opt for sending documents to WES from India?

India Govt Postal services use Worldnet Express to send International packets. Their charges are reasonable and service is also good

In January 2015 CIC is starting express way for Canada immigration. So we can predict that the 2014 visas will be finalized & issued before January 2015 only... Any i/p's (or) info on this....

You cannot predict this. It is unknown.

I'm an Egyptian myself...are you sure you will be doing military service? There's a chance it might get postponed as that happens to many (including me) every year

Also how are you sure you'll get request for medical in Jan? What stage of application are u at now?

As far as I know it will be almost impossible to extend the validity of your Visa once you recieve it...so if you don't land in Canada before it expires you will have to apply again unfortunately

Anyway , I'm not sure they will request medical in Jan. I'm just making assumptions based on last year FSWP ( also based on the opinion of many friends who already got the Visa from last year program ) ... However , even if the medical request was on Feb. or March it will make no difference I guess , I still won't be able to land during the Military Service year .. ( I don't know exactly what is the time frame of application processing this year , but most people says they request the medical after about 6 to 8 months .. so If I send my documents in June 2014 , the Medical will probably be requested between (December - Feb. ) .. or I guess so ..

Regarding postbone the Military service , I don't even know how is that possible ?? I didn't hear anyone who succeed in postbone his military service , also I don't have any medical condition that gives me an exemption from the Military service .. if you can help me in postbone my Military service I would be more than thankful ..

I see from the spreadsheet no one from 5th May has got PER yet. Am I missing anyone. please update.

5th May applicants whose CC/dd Chanrged --> Guys those who have UCI, can you please check if your online status has been updated?

To my knowledge, none of the May5 applicants has received any PER yet. Mine reached on that day and my CC got charged on May29. I was expecting my PER yesterday. But CIC is not issuing any PER at the moment, but only encashing. I hope the PER issuing mode kicks in soon.

My sister is in Vancouver and I have friends in Manitoba. what I wrote in my application form was Manitoba. If ever I change my mind can I stay in Vancouver if PR is granted?

IF you get PR you can live anywhere you want, but you cannot land in Quebec.

its better to delay the submission of the documents of medical report till March or April so you can make sure the visa start date will be from March or April

It's not a problem for the balance to fall below the required amount or for money to be moving in and out. It's understandable that money needs to go in and out. But your local VO might ask for several months of transactions records. What you want to avoid is having any transactions that make it seem like you may not actually have enough settlement funds. For example if you deposit $12K, get the bank certificate to send with your application, then withdraw the $12K soon after, it looks like you borrowed it from someone. This is the kind of thing that raises red flags.

Be aware though, that at the time your local VO asks for an updated proof of settlement funds, you will need to be able to demonstrate the required funds, and eventually you will need to bring them with you to Canada, so make sure you really can do that.

You need your wife's as well as if you have any children over age 18 who are still your dependants.

Hi.. I have a question Regarding the FSW

My IELTS Score is R 7 L 7.5 S 7 W 5.5 I have to write IELTS again as the minimum requirements for FSW in all categories is 6.0 Bands, I am planning to write the IELTS again, But my question is if I write again can I put my two IELTS mark sheet and claim the best points from both the test which I took??

You can also try to have your writing re-evaluated, maybe they'll bump it up to a 6.

Extension in PR visa is next to impossible, here is a similar discussion the forum

Solution:
Just take 1 week off and complete the landing and rejoin. Plan it around 7-8th month of visa issuance to avoid any last min issues.

Are you FSW 14 candidate? if yes, Jan 2015 may be little early for medical so don't worry. and even if you get it, delay the process. I mean delay giving the medical as much as you can or sending the docs such as PCC or any other doc which VO asks for.

Unfortunately, Like what " medwiz " have said .. It's nearly impossible to take any time off from military service ..

I think you are right , the only Option I have right now is to delay sending the documents that the officer asks me to send ..

What a relief, got a call form Bank(ICICI) saying that my DD has been encashed.

First time in my life I felt good about my account getting debited that too in $$$$

So many doubts were there when I was shipping the application package but with the help from this awesome forum members and almighty looking over my app from heavens, finally got some good message after long long time.

Last year my app was returned due to cap getting filled but I never lost hope and continued my efforts to get Maple leaf stamp in PP

All the best to you guys who are waiting for CC and DD charges, updated my status in SpreadSheet so people don't freak out on each other in anguish
