Considering the fact that 2174 guys are mostly computer savvy and this forum is so famous for CIC FSW program, I am of the opinion that this forum represents significant number of overall 2174 applicants, if not all

At the same time these 2174 or 217x are silently following thread but not actively participating to strenthen their chances of falling within cap

When i read here dat ppl r getting their cc charged n getting texts i feel i also should have provide my cc detail in payment form instead of dd , because in dd encashment wont get any notification.
Its too hard to wait.

Sandy27, your wait might be a little longer, but you can check with the bank whether the check has been cashed out. Besides, we have seen some mishaps with CC that prove it's a riskier option than DD. In my opinion, DD gives you peace of mind in at least one aspect of the process. Just be patient and think positive.

I am just seeing the trend and predicting , it may not digest to other people ,
still I am helping those who even dont know actual scenario, some even dont know that 2174 got filled 30th May .. they still think that it was open till september last year

Agreed. Let's say 50% of all 2174 guys who visit here have given their info in the sheet.

Each VO has different processing timelines. Cpc is one of the fastest. Afaik most appln were given PR from cpp-o last year in 200 days including cic time. This year cic claims expedite processing times so expect vos to do the same

So expecting that to come down to 3-4 months end to end for CPC ottawa is realistic for FSW 2014

probably a rule of psychology, and they will give thumbs up to the person even if he tells lie and just say keep and calm

and mostly people are so ignorant that anyone can use this thing for gaining votes;
and the truth ( from observation point of view) will never be appreciated ;D,

Send a attested photocopy of the original along with a letter mentioning that you had submitted ur originals along with your previous applications on for 2014 intake and have not yet received a refusal letter/it is still in process

There is no stress getting a new copy of IELTS report. Just go to the centre where you sat for the exams with evidence you are applying for Canadian Immigration, they will print another copy for you same day or the following day at worse at a little cost.
You can show IELTS officials evidence by printing relevant portions of the CIC's instruction guide concerning IELTS submission .

There is absolutely no need to wait for the old application package to be returned before you can reply.

Hi there,
I applied for FSWP 2013 NOC 2134(Chemical engineers)
My application returned back due to capping,
This year I am reapplying under NOC 0911. CIC just mark check on first page of my application and photocopies of passport also they wrote UCI no. But I am unable to find any status on CIC Web with this UCI no......

Do I need to mansion UCI number for current application??

Yes.. Unlike last year thee are other avenues for software people like 2171, 2172, 2173 besides 2174. So there are 4000 now, instead of 300 last year and also many people who were rejected and could not make to the cap would have gone for other options like Australia or Nova Scotia.
Also 20 percent of the applications will be rejected in the initial round and will not be counted for the cap.
Also heard from some consultants in India that flow of applications slowed after initial peak during first two weeks of May.

So ideally 2174 should last till August or September and other like 2173 will be there for even more time. So people who have not applied for WES or IELTS still go ahead for 2174, 2173. This FSWP 2014 is a golden opportunity, try your luck.

Do you know what would be other fees (just trying to estimate total expenditure) that applicant will incur further for a family of 3 (including infant)
