Till yesterday it was not encashed as per bank..

Hi All
I will be paying the fee through DD from India.
Please help me which is the right/best bank. Is HDFC the good one ?
Second The DD has to be issued in CAD $ 1250(2x550+150 for 2 adults and one child under 22).
Third what do I have to mention DD is payable at ...... ?

I tried for HDFC.. but they didnt provide this service. Go for Standard Chartered or Citibank. DD shall be payable at Canada.. 1250 CAD is okay for 2 adults & a kid.

It took me 3 working days to get DD from Citibank where I had savings A/C..

There is no way you can call CIC and get status updates on your application. Just wait and pray for yourself.
Also do check your mailbox..... I hate to say this, but your applciation might be way back home with explanation.

Will I get a email right before getting the application back incase of any issue with my application?

Yes I paid extra $85.00 and selected International Express option. It's also mentioned below in the shipping method by WES but they didn't mention tracking number.

Thanks in advance for helping me. Please help me with following doubts.

1. I have one year old daughter, whose passport is not yet made. Is it okay if I don't submit her passport as a travel document proof?
2. I have my Birth Certificate in Gujarati, so can any unrelated person (a friend) translate it and prepare an affidavit?
3. My wife has neither birth certificate nor secondary education certificate. What can be done?

Join the club Ruchill. Same boat as u but chill as your name suggest. it will early for us to know if our DD is cashed or not. M planing to visit my bank on Friday to find out about DD.

This is my first time I am on this forum, though I was trying to create an account here from last 7-8 days but never received activation email .

But anyway finally I am here.

On spreadsheet my details are listed as "NJ" instead of "NJ-1"

Also do check your mailbox..... I hate to say this, but your applciation might be way back home with explanation.

There is a way to find out about your file after 6 weeks from the received date at CIO. someone has posted the phone number here. You can ask status of your file by giving your name or UCI and agents will help you out. It might not happen on first try but keep on calling until you find helpful agent who will look for information about your file in the system.
