PER, PER received!!!...... 57 days after CC charge ???

It wasn't the easiest time for me but a few members here encouraged me a little.

My timeline

Application received: 18/Sept/2014 (as per PER mail)
CC Charged: 10/Dec/2014
PER Mail: 6/Feb/2014

I am extremely happy because i did the application with no help from anyone. I had not even discovered this site at the time and was clueless on what lead statement or main duties really meant - had not seen samples posted. My duties ended up matching with about 60% and that was with only 1 employer.(I have worked 5 jobs in the last 10 years).

I believe there are those whose PER is taking longer than expected, please hold on - it will come. It is best not to compare your timeline with others as each case is different. As long as one is honest in what they submit and of course has fulfilled all the requirements, you will pass the test.

Best wished to everyone.
congratulations

No. Forget about the titles, it's the job duties relevance that they are after.
Very true, but if they are asking for an interview, they are looking to verify the documents. If she brings an updated letter from the same employer with a different job title, doesn't that look strange? I'd be afraid to do that.

Attended Medical Exam just about an hour ago. It all went smoothly. Doc said everything is normal as per Med exam. Except blood test and x-ray results of which will arrive in couple of days.

They'll give me a call if there's any issue.

THE BEST thing is that doctor has also agreed to delay submission of my medical exam results. Usually they said they upload results within 4 to 5 days. However, in my case they have agreed to submit it on 25th of Feb so I'll visa valid till about end of Feb 2016. So I can spend a week (last week of Feb) next year in Vancouver and then visit Toronto in March, by then hopefully weather would have gotten bit milder in Toronto!

I had to do test bit early because I have my passport renewal tomorrow (so my current passport will be cancelled tomorrow and new one will take couple of weeks to arrive) and doctor required original valid passport as proof of ID on the day of Med exam.
Nice. Well done.

Finally got PER! How do I edit my post on the timeline?
Do you mean on the spreadsheet? Did you save your spreadsheet link? If so just go back to it and update. If not you'll need to create a new entry and the caretakers of the spreadsheet will delete your old one.

Congrats!

In addition

I think bjazbej in addition should prep himself to be able to link the NOC description and the lead statement with the submitted letters.
Thats how he can crack it if the meeting is for validation on his roles and responsibilities.

Good idea and +1.

But I think there's a difference. Yes for eligibility review they are looking only at roles not title. But if an applicant is called for an interview they are taking a look to determine whether the candidate is believable and to get an impression you can't get from documents only. The interviewer has more discretion. A letter from the same employer with a different job title might raise credibility questions in the interviewer's mind even though it's not the applicant's fault. I'd still try to get one with the same title. Or encourage the interviewer to call the person who wrote the letter to confirm it's all the same job.

Congratulations! But somehow I find it weird. I sent my application July 2014 and I just recieved my PER now which I feel took much longer than our European counterparts and even much longer than Americans.
[/quo.te

Hi Ongangy,

You sent the application in July and received PER today!!!!!
I guess this must be the longest wait time for 2014 applicant........

Oh, yes, missed mentioning. I agree with you on that part. Our friend should try not to show any doc with changes. Stick to what already has been submitted. If linkages are good enough, it should not be a problem.
