Hi seniors,

I need an advice ... couple of months back , my passport fell in to the bucket of water ... I recovered it after one day ... The condition got bad , even after i left it to dry ... however, the passport is readable ... and I have traveled to couple of other countries as well , using the same passport ... The immigration officers asked me if it was being washed or something ... I cleared their doubts and I was good to go ... Now advice me , if I apply for a new passport or the previous one is fine ? Since, At the end CIC may ask for the passport for issuing the visa ... so I was bit worried regarding this thing that what should be done ? However, I am at the stage when CC gets charged ... so I am waiting for PER/NER ...

Apply for a new passport. You can update the New Passport number back to the VO at the time of MR/RPRF/PCC, it wouldnt affect your processing

Best approach get a new Passport cause you will be using this for long time and again you dont have to go through the hassle of explaining stuff.. and you never know when you send for passport stamping they might ask you to get a new one .. so if you ask me IMHO get a new passport ASAP...

Sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks, i dont think we have noticed a straight line trend depends on the VO

hi...i would like to ask somthing...
its about my passport..it was issued in 2009 and the photo inside is completely diifrnt....my appearance chnged considerably tht there could be a second thought whther its the same guy or not...
So what shall be done here..ive got per 50 days before...will there be any complications if i get a new passport???pls advise...

You can apply new passport and also have chance to correct /add like address or spouse details etc...i had similar problem in 2008 , every time immigration officer used to ask so many questions to prove that i m the same person...go for tatkal passport and update NDVO before u get MR..
