Happy to share the good news that finally, finally, finally, I have received the much elusive

PER !!!!!

Thanks to all the forum members for the confidence bestowed upon me. Your support really helped me go through the difficult times. Will not name anyone as the list is endless and do not want to miss anyone. ;D ;D

My timelines :
NOC : 1114
Application receipt date at CIC as per courier : 2nd Sept
Application receipt date at CIC as per CIC : 20th Oct
DD encashment date as per CIC : 23rd Dec
DD encashment date as per bank : 29th Dec
ECAS update went live : 16th Jan
PER date : 20th Jan

Don't really think I had missed out on any docs in the initial application, though i must admit that :
1. My Birth Certificate wasn't submitted as I didn't have one at the time of application submission. Had submitted an affidavit and a 10th passing certificate in which DOB was mentioned.
2. Didn't submit legal marriage certificate as I did not have one at the time of application submission. In lieu of this, I had submitted marriage certificate issued by religious priest and passport copies where spouse name was updated. Also Childs BC was provided where parents name was updated.

Have got both these certificate issued from respective government offices now, to be on the safer side. Don't recall any other discrepancy.

Guys,

I have received an email today from visa office to submit medicals and PCC by 7th March 2015.

However, I am in France currently on company's assignment and will return to India on 31st March 2015.

Do you know how can I request for an extension of this period ? Actually the first question is , do they even entertain such extension requests or not? If yes , then how can I request it?

Secondly , there has been a change in my wife's passport after I mailed the application to CIC Canada as she got my name added in her passport .

How do I inform this change to the New Delhi Visa office ? Do I need to simply send the copy of new passport along with PCC ?

I thanks all experts on this forums to guide me with the process.

My credentials are :

Application Submitted : 17th July 2014.
CC Charged : 3rd Nov 2014.
PER Recieved : 17th Nov 2014.
MR and PCC requested : 21-Jan-2015.

The application is now being processed at Visa Office , New Delhi.

I already wrote a mail on 27th Nov 2014 until now no response for the mail.

Mine is CC and it is not yet charged.

As the only proof i have is that it got delivered on 5th Sep 2014 I do not have anything more.

You can get the medical done in France itself. I got my medicals done while in New Zealand. My VO is also NDVO. It's not advisable to delay medicals. Regarding change in your wife's passport, please refer to the below link. Yes it's advisable to send copy of new passport along with PCC. Hope that helps.
