Friends,

Do we need to produce USA FBI PCC if the stay was less than 180 days. (I am checking for 168 days stay way back in 2001).

Please help me in understanding the meaning of PCC for every country where stay is 6 months or more. Does it also means 5.5 months as well, because that's also the sixth month or is that the definition says 180 in terms of number of days.

NDVO do verify all documents with the help of third party company.

In most of the cases applicants even do not realize the same. But they do check & verify.

Thanks a lot. However, i heard like none of my friend's employers got call for verifications.

Also, do u feel is there some way to check settlement funds. Its all can be completed within 1 month as i can see this trend in NDVO applicants (From AOR to Medical)..????

I did not find any definition of 6 months in terms of days. So, we may consider 6 "calender months".

Question on PCC, would the cover letter sent with MR and RPRF email will mention which all countries the VO needs PCC..?
or the candidate has to assume that he/she needs to provide it where the stay is around 6 months.

some agents are telling that CIC/CIO will have some additional privileges who can extend the validity of DDs. Is it true?

CIC is the beneficiary. How can beneficiary extend the validity of DDs ? Its only the issuing bank that can do so. Your agent doesn't know a thing.

If passport expires in 3 months can we travel to Canada and get renewed in Canada.

Any Visa requires 6 months validity at least !!

Hang on buddy, PER can take up to four months on the worst side but as long as u won't hear anything from CIO, there is a positive hope for u.

Many members in forum replied back about verification done with their respective company's. Again that might vary case to case, if they want to check about documents with some of ur employers or all, etc, etc.. Not sure on how they check settlement funds.

If everything goes well, members get MR within a month of AOR, but see spreadsheet carefully, their are some members who have waited more than a month or still waiting for MR after AOR. So for some members it takes more time for verification to complete which delays MR for them. If NDVO have any doubts regarding your documents they ask you for further documents.
