Maybe not, because on my visa issued in 2008 it was not there, but on my later visas issued in 2011 and 2013 it is there. On the 2 later visas my UCI is the 9 digit number at the bottom right on the last line.

It really depends on when your visa was issued. I didn't have any UCI's on my 2004 visotor visa.

I am sorry my friend I dont think that you have UCI on your tourist visa 2007.

I am in the same boat. I have also UCI. My application received on 17th September NOC 2243 dd mode.(Dont know DD status)
ECAS says we are unable to recognise you. Nothing to worry. My last year experience ECAS got alive after 107 days of application received date.

Hope it will able to recognize us soon.

Dear FSW14 Applicant friends from India,

Need a quick point of view regarding police verification certificate from police commissioner's office

I am staying at Ahmedabad in a rented house since Aug'2012. I have applied for PVC (Police verification Certificate) at my local police station who is forwarding the same to police commissioner's office tomorrow. I will visit the commissioner's office on tuesday for the PVC. I got to know from local police station that the commissioner's office requires 10 years records for issuing PVC while i have stayed here for 2.5 years. So i have told them to issue me PVC for last 2.5 years.

Can somebody please guide me if that is ok? before this I was at bangalore for 9 months, before that I was at mumbai for 4.5 years, earlier to that at pune, and bangalore.

IS there any rule that PVC should cover 10 years period? (Any canada specific requirement)? or this is one more rule made by commissioner's office.

Please do guide me. i have a feeling that while i may get PVC , it may mention ' PVC for the period starting from aug'2012 till 30th Dec'2014."

I hv got one. They ask to mention the duration in application form but in actual certificate they would just mention your name,current resident & no adverse record found in your local police station remark. No passport detail, no photo,no duration..
So I would suggest, insist them to have your photo on the certificate..

In my view, PCC should be from your current residential place.

Hi,

I am staying in bangalore for last 5 years and I am planning to take PCC from my native place as the Passport address is same as the native address.

Is it okay to take PCC from my native since I am staying in a different place (Bangalore) for the last few years. Is it acceptable.

Check your visa you will see your 8. Digit UCI
