Fortune and my Medical:

Since it was taking too long to get any email/response from SG after my second line addition (9th Oct 14), I have applied for GCMS report on 18th Nov. I rcvd the report one month later...Since I am moving it took two days to read the email....

[size=13pt]And then what I have seen on the GCMS report ( @ correspondence section ) - They have sent me Medical Request on 20th Oct 14 with below docs:

1. Medical Attachment for me and spouse
2. PCC for BD and FBI report
3. Photo
4. Updated Employment letter from HR dept
5. Right of Permanent Residence Fee

They had given 60 days for all of this formalities.Whole body of the emails is written GCMS report (with all other correspondences like PER/AOR etc.).

So I have already crossed that time frame.

After that I have sent an email to SG referring to this GCMS report's email and informed them that I have not rcvd any email communication from them. They have sent me an email immediately with Medical attachment and instruction. This time they have given me 30 days and mentioned that they will refuse my application otherewise.


So after waiting of 20 months I have finally received Medical request (without receiving any prior doc req from them).

would you mind sharing the date when your medicals were received by CIC i.e. Ecas got updated

NOC : 2174 (NDVO)
Application sent : Apr 28th 2014
Application Received : May 5th 2014
Fee En-cashed (DD) : June 4th 2014
PER Received : June 13th 2014
Medical Request/PCC/RPRF : Sept 4th 2014
Medical Done : Oct 4th 2014
Medical Received : Don't remember the exact date but it was between 2-3 weeks after Medical was done
Decision Made E-Case : Dec 19th 2014
PPR Received : Dec 24th 2014

My NOC :2132 ,I received PER on 10/12/2014 but when I tried to check my status online using UCI number in PER it says no record found, any idea ? Shall appreciate your inputs please .

Thanks for sharing good information. I would say that almost took the whole day to complete medical. I am from karachi basically.
I did my medicals here in KSA, we entered the hospital around 09:45 am and we were out by 11:00 am, here they have e-madical facility. I can understand why LVO asks for all this, even few of my friends were coming to KSA and they were asked to submit polio vaccination certificate....U know what I am talking about why it happens to us? I am telling you its every where like this for us bro..

buddy this is because of some reasons...

1. Pakistani is sadly among those few countries left in entire galaxy where POLIO is still present at very high levels.
2. anti polio teams are being attacked and killed and bombed!
3. people have, I don't know from where, propagated that in polio vaccine the doctors actually make our children drink a virus which will make them infertile forever! (I really don't know from where that infertile virus came!)
4. people have taken it to the religious levels.........I have heard many MOULVIS during Jumma khutba saying that who ever drinks polio vaccine becomes KAAFIR and Allah will enter that person into hell!

now the world don't care for other reasons but the top 2.......so the WHO made it compulsory for everyone leaving Pakistan to have polio vaccine. now this is compulsory for even every alien visiting Pakistan! no matter u r US citizen or Somalian or Saudi....if u have visited Pakistan even for 1 day....u have to be vaccinated in order to leave Pakistan. sadly the story still continues!

If a passport was renewed after the app was sent, you gotta wait till the PER then inform the visa office, correct?
But the PER emails that were shared here by our friends do not indicate the visa office, so how do you know where to communicate?

Usually where they conduct the interview? For example applicants who are in GCC countries.

You must select the visa office that serves your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted for at least one year

Yes you choose, but not necessarily that is the one it goes to. Some people are also eligible for two offices.

During application filing, there is a field "Visa Office" which I have written New Delhi.. So it goes to NDVO.. You would have written Visa Office name too .. whatever you write in that field and if it suits either of the case "visa office that serves your country of nationality or the country where you have been legally admitted for at least one year", then it goes to the one which you have written

In recent updates, I heard that "Visa Office" field is removed in the application document, if that is the case, then it is their choice to which Visa Office your application should be sent..

Others who has come across similar situation, please shed some light and confirm which VO application will be sent for processing

I have seen this query from many other forum members.
Let me clarify.
Incidently i have converted pdf and saved CIC cap updates of both dates 26/11/2014 (last one) and new one on 16/12/2014.
And in both updates PHD stduents cap is mentioned as 227 of 500 (as on 19/11/2014)

So PHD caps update has nothing to do with main cap updates.

On the latest update of CIC on 16th December of applications received, if you note under the PHD stream you will notice the following sentence:-

[Applications received toward the overall cap: 227 of 500 (as of November 19, 2014).]

Can we generalize this sentence and consider it applicable to other occupations as well?

and should we understand that the status of total applications received for all the occupations and for each occupation separately being displayed on the CIC webpage as updated on 16th December, simply reflects those application parcels that are reached at CIO till 19th November?

And only applications from 19th November till today are not reflected in this 16th December update?
