GOOD MORNING My Dear Forumites,,

APP RCVD :11th Sep
DD encashed : 26th nov acc to PER mail
DD encashed: 10th Dec acc to HDFC delhi
PER rcvd: 17th dec

Just want to let u guys know that i kept a constant follo up with my HDFC RM n she cudnt tel dat DD was enscahed until 10th dec so there is a lot of time lag between qctual charge n info that reaches Indian banks.
I would advise everyone sply DD ppl jus hang tight and relax good things wil come ur way..

Hi Seniors, newbie question.
is the cic strict with 1000cap? Or if those COLD noc could not reach 1000 applications they will give chance to those HOT noc and be able to accept more than 1000 applications to reach the over all cap required?Thanks

very strict with 1000 CAP.

Submitted passports today to VFS in New Delhi.

638 INR service fee per passport

Reached VFS at 9.05am and was out by 9.30am, very few people were there.

As per them average time to get passports back is around 10 working days.

I opted to pick up passports by hand, they gave option to send by courier as well.

At the VFS, they have a separate internet kiosk to help people people fill up the forms. This is of course a chargeable service.

They will send email notification when passports will be ready to be collected from the VFS. I am expecting it somewhere around December end.

I understand that 330 is under 483. I think in simple words we can say that 330 has passed completion check but not given PER yet.
Total 483 = 330 (Passed completion check ) + 153 given PER

Need to verify this thing ... this is just my interpretation.

SORRY GUYS, RE-POSTING BUT JUST WANNA KNOW TILL WHICH DATE HAVE CIC COUNTED NUMBER OF COMPLETED APPLICATIONS - GIVEN AS PENDING APPLICATIONS IN THEIR NEW CAP UPDATE?????



Hi everyone,

I was surprised to see the new CAP update by CIC on 16 dec which has been bifurcated into 2 parts :

1. number of applications counted towards cap
2. number of completed applications

But what confuses me the most in this above elaboration is that till which date have they counted number of completed applications?HuhHuh? Do they mean that till 16 dec all files received have been checked for completeness and if it is complete it has been counted in the figure given in the second column of - number of completed applications?

My application under 1111 reached CIC on 5th Dec 2014, so does it mean it has been counted under complete applications or not? Since they have released this new Cap update data on 16th dec have they considered all files received before that?

Trying to figure out whether i am in cap or not so all the above analysis.

Pls advise.

A little off topic.
A great day for this part of the world today! Cuba and the US will retake diplomatic relations thanks to negotiations between the two governments, helped by Canada and Pope Francis. Three spies from my country that were in prison in the US for 16 years are now free, they were trying to stop terrorist attacks against Cuba. Also the government of Colombia and the FARC said they were stopping the war for an unlimited time.
